Both. You marshall your forces but also control a leader who makes the difference in personal squad battles. You have to juggle maneuvering your troops with successfully making use of your hero's greater martial ability.

@1618dude dude this game takes EXTREME amount of strategy to win in. i played both one and two and if you even attempt to think you can win by hack and slash you will see how in LESS then a minute of combat your entire armys will die and you will lose, easily!!! thumbs up if you played one and too and if you agree

I hate Dynasty Warriors-type games, but Kingdom Under Fire was really fun. Lets hope the sequel is an improvement.

@barretpaige14 KUF was for xbox/360 originally, and the main draw for this game was because it was a rts console game. if they put it for PC it will lose some of its buy value... and piss ALOT of people off
