Well... I have aspergergers too, and aspergers really isn't that huge of a struggle. Sure you think differently than everyone else but aspergers is nothing compared to people who have a signifcantly deblilitating disease like dyslexia or schizophrenia or cerebral palsy.

I suppose they've never really been renowned for amazing live performances, but then again, rock music isn't about being note perfect, it's about bringing sheer power and excitement to a performance, even if rough around the edges. From what I can ascertain, it seems like Nicholls brings something a bit rare and special everytime, which I respect greatly.

Hell I wouldn't care if they were crap live, I'd still like to have the opportunity- they're hard to come by in the UK :/

This will be my last post on the subject, since I have better things to do, I just want it to be known that I'm actually a fan of the Vines....thats why I've been watching thier videos, I love thier albums but as a live band they don't seem to care about delivering a good performance. Why did I get a thumbs down? I'm a Vines fan too. God forbid anyone take an objective look at what they're doing. I, like many other people, think The Vines made a big mistake in releasing this song as their first single. And I stand by what I said. I keep expecting them to take some chances and find a bold new direction to go but it's the same thing over and over again. They're fading into obsolescence, and it bothers me, because I do like them and know they're capable of more.

I think The Vines are starting to miss the point. I'm so freaking sick of the same album being released over and over again. And sick of vapid lyrics with obvious little rhyming couplets like, "Once i was a young man/No one could understand." I hear definite possibilities and promise in their music, but after 4 albums of the same vacuous prattle, I have a feeling it will never be fully realized.

I'm surprised to see everyone so disappointed...I'm 16, and I've been a Vines fan since I was about 12. I was disappointed with Vision Valley..but I love some songs like Vision Valley, Going Gone, and others.

About Melodia, this single really brings back their Highly Evolved style...I've seen many of their other songs on Youtube from their new album, and He's A Rocker isn't my favorite one, but I still love the simplicity of it! Craig's great live, and this is a great comeback IMO

oh..there are plenty of gems...search for vines at bowery ballroom...braindead, manger, autumn shade 3, and many more...although i love this song, the thought behind it was the same as with 'get free' methinks...simple lyrics but it will drive masses to buy the albums because unfortunately masses like simple and pop,but it will make them enough money to keep making more albums...we just have to accept the fact that stuff like animal machine, tv pro, spaceship, are not ever going to be singles :(
