outstanding!! I am not deaf, I do not own a dog, but I thoroughly enjoyed your video. i was bored and surfing the net on my ipad and decided to look up whether signing to dogs was even possible. this video made my day! you are so funny! I will definitely watch your other videos.
Thank you for doing this! Both my son and I enjoyed watching (he is hearing and I'm Deaf). We have new baby (deaf dog) coming up next week, yay! Truly thank you for doing this video where both my son and I could watch TOGETHER. Hands up to you and Rocket!!!
@saraenergywork Thank you & welcome! Good luck with your new baby. Patience and consistency is key. I posted a new video recently of our 3rd deaf dog (she just came to our house 2 weeks ago) she learned a bunch of commands in 2 weeks alone :)
@zlchapel I would give her a name sign Something with the letter C that is easily visible :) alishamsigns . com / deafdogs. html go here for info on name signs & potty training! Good luck and congrats on the puppy!
Thank for these videos I have a couple of questions. What is a good age to start training a deaf Boston Terrier? Also My boston terrier is 7 weeks her name is Chloe so do I learn to sign each letter of her name? Do you have any advice on how to potty train Chloe?

I am deaf myself and have a Miniature Schnauzer (he's hearing). I have watched your signing skills and I am very impressed with it. Keep it up! Another reason why many of us could use learning the sign language, so we can communicate with our animals.
yes, my dog understands sign language as well. =-)
Thanks :) yeah, he keeps me laughing! I swear my fur kids bring so much joy to my life I don't know what I'd do without them. Glad the video could be helpful
I incorporate the sign once they start understanding the SIT movement. In the beginning raise your hand and at the top flip it over to be the SIT sign...gradually stop lifting the arm/hand and just use the sign :) Hope that was a clear answer :) Good luck.
Thank you for the great video. Question, when do you incorporate the sign? You mentioned to do the motion over his head but is that the sign? The motion over his head?
