this is the real McCoy... iPhone analysts have admitted for quite some time that the phone has video capabilities. These two ingenious young men deserve credit where it is due. I look forward to the day when I can use my iPhone for video capture. It will be interesting to see what third party developers muster up within the next year.

He recorded the screen video capture on his pc, converted into iphone video format, transfered it into iphone and played the video, regardng acclmter he edited this so that presizly the timmings on when he turned his iphone it straightin the video, as far as i know iphone does not have dual cam, so this thing does not make sense... common knowldge "PEACE"

this program "squidge" was out months ago.

it sends the compressed video to a webserver (on the iphone) and connects to the other person running squidge were the video is relayed back and forth.

yes, its slow and choppy, but even with the new video programs, they are *barely* getting 24fps.

this program was made MONTHS before anyone could even figure out how to make adequate video apps.

the base is a mirror so that the camera is seeing the person in front of the phone. And the software is a third party app that must be able to capture video.

What an idiot. If you look at the first iPhone shown, you can clearly see the camera in the picture of the person filming (the little one in the bottom left corner, not the main one). You wouldn't want the main picture in a video comference to be yourself.

The prototype has a really low frame rate, but it's not a result or limitation of the device itself. It's just the software that needs improvements. Also, the picture quality can be varied as it's a 2MP camera.
