I'm only 16, but I can already feel it slipping by fast, and as a guy myself, I can tell you that we have a way with making girls go crazy. My advice? Worry less about having a strong relationship in the 7th grade and more about having good friends, and making good grades. It'll all pay off in the end, trust me.
