  • great video! thanks for sharing

  • HOLY SHIT FPSRussia COMMENTED ON THIS VID

  • @Eyeblades

*Sigh* I love the science of ballistics and I enjoy shooter video games, but the "protection" and "arming yourself" arguments are logical fallacies when you start talking about flechette, incendiaries, hollow points, drum mags, automatic weapons, assault weapons, etc. That's not protection, that's war.

  • 05:19

    I see a smiley face.

  • My favorite is the rifle slug

  • Tactical Rifled Slug = Aim Bot.

  • @medadoodie besides, who the FUCK would want to get a shot off from an automatic shotgun one handed!?! That's what movies, and video games teach people. I even use two hands on my hand guns! That seems like a needless ability that was way over stressed!

  • @medadoodie it also has NO availability!!! I can shoot my Saiga 12 one handed. Not accurately, but that is because it's a HEAVY gun to carry one handed. However the MYTHICAL AA12 is still something you can't get!! So, that's like saying there is a car that can to 600+ mph. There's one or two in the world, but you will be lucky to even SEE one. I can snag a Saiga for $550 online! Or $600 at the local gunshop. Then +100 in 992 parts, and +100 in mags! $700 for a gun that is still better!!!

  • i like how he goes compare the rifled slug(shot to the body) to the tactical rifled slug(head shit) haha

  • the police should use the flare rounds on humans haha

  • U would die if had 4 of them on

  • 3000 foot pounds of kinetic energy

  • the funny thing is even if your body armor could stop the .12 g slug, youd still die from the kinetic energy.

  • I'd say that those flechette darts failed to cause traumatic injury

  • i always wondered what number 9 would do to you

  • The Flare has to be against Geneva Codes or something. That would cause 3rd degree burn

  • @mblader2k3 The Geneva Conventions applies neither to civilians nor to law-enforcement and only sets standards for the treatment of the victims of war. What you probably meant is the Hague Conventions, which only applies to war-time usage of weapons as well - otherwise, nobody would be allowed to use such common things as hollow-point ammunition.

  • Respect my authoritah!

  • this has to be the most ignorant video i have ever seen regarding any ammo!!! what a bunck of bullshit!

  • what web sites sell the exoitic ammo?

  • @firefox8192 just look up 12 gauge exotic ammo lots of sites come up even have new one out this year it is a new Slug that is a hollow point designed to split seven ways upon impact causing massive trauma anywhere from 4in with a .410 to 8-10 in. with a 12 gauge.

  • @firefox8192 just look up 12 gauge exotic ammo lots of sites come up even have new one out this year it is a new Slug that is a hollow point designed to split seven ways upon impact causing massive trauma anywhere from 4in with a .410 to 8-10 in. with a 12 gauge. the ammo is called Ddupleks, or Dupo

  • its wierd to think that the average citizen in the USA can possess the entire spectrum of ammunition used in the cannons of the british royal navy of the early to mid 19th century,

    grapeshot = buckshot

    roundshot = rifled slug

    chainshot = strung buck,

it was also not uncommon in the navy to pack a can of grapeshot on top of a conventional roundshot cannonball.

  • long live the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES REPUBLIC & THE 4th AMENDMENT

  • Great Video

  • the flechette seems pretty useless... theres a reason why no law enforcement or military uses it.

  • @lexmark136 Military cant use it because its against the geneva convention. Law enforcement cant use it because they no longer are aloud. They are not useless. They have longer range than a slug (unpredicable, but is good for cover fire and night watch rounds. They are also abvously devestating against tissue and body armor.

  • At 600 rds a min (vs 200 with the AA12), easier mag loading, and larger availability the SAIGA 12 is a far more versatile weapon. I too own a 992r Saiga 12, with 2 10rd mags and a 20rd Drum. I will be taking it out this weekend to a shooting competition and will show it off there and take a video.

TOO MANY KIDS GET ALL THEIR INFORMATION ABOUT GUNS AND CARS FROM VIDEO GAMES!!!

  • @kendrickmeadows plz make that vid, im interested.

  • @elgostine youtube.com/watch?v=sqJP2WfvR44

  • Good video

  • @cheturt I agree. A shotgun in real life is one of the deadliest firearms on the battlefield. Rifled slugs are more useful for continued fire due to their lesser recoil, and buckshot can tear organs to tatters at short range, which I consider to be at about 3 yards personally. Additionally, non-lethal rounds, such as sandbags, are in common use by police, which shows that they are highly adaptable. In other words, we need to work on making more guns like the AA-12 and issue them soldiers more.

  • @TCGroudon Weeeeee CoD kiddies talkin about guns!

Why not mention the USAS 12, Saiga 12 or the Neosted? Who cares about the AA12? It was made back in the 70s and was impressive but was not adopted by the military... and still isnt. The newer version was designed more for what Black Water wanted. The Saiga 12 is standard issue for Russian troops. Semi auto (can be full auto at 600+ RPM) built on the AK gas operation design, its practically an AK 47 chambered in 12ga...

  • @TCGroudon It accepts magazines from 3(i think) rounds to 30 round drums. The Neosted is really awesome... It has twin top mounted tube mags that can be switched between on the fly. So you could put buckshot in one mag and buckshot in the other... Or any other kind of combo to suit your situation.... which is the reason its so versital and used by South African Law Enforcement and Military.

  • @TCGroudon What im trying to say here TC is that the AA 12 has been over glorified by Call of Duty and is really nothing more than an overly bulky low recoil shotgun (which the low recoil is truly awesome) but not worth the lower rate of fire. I own a Saiga 12... You could (if legal in your area) put a pistol griped folding stock and saw down the barrel to 18" get a grip on your lower foregrip and get a full auto conversion and have a weapon that would kick the shit out of the AA 12 any day...

  • @obeyance AA12 will never see any kind of action... Not when a pump action Remington is just as good. With 600 rds a min (vs 300 with the AA12), easier mag loading, and more availability, the SAIGA 12 is a far more versatile weapon. I too own a 992r compliant Saiga 12, with 2 10rd mags and a 20rd Drum. I will be taking it out this weekend to a shooting competition and will show it off there and take a video. TOO MANY KIDS GET ALL THEIR INFORMATION ABOUT GUNS AND CARS FROM VIDEO GAMES!!!

  • @kendrickmeadows

    its absolutely true.

most of the stuff featured on "future weapons" is nothing more than a toy that every kid playing cod wants to own.

that stuff might look cool at first look, but after all theres only one question: is it better than xy? if not, thats bad for the company selling it.

  • @kendrickmeadows Thats easy to say when you've never fired an AA-12, its superior to the conventional pumps and autos in every way. And if you really want 600rpm from a shotgun then just use two AA-12's at the same time...

  • @FPSRussia FpsRussia! I love youu!

  • @FPSRussia You are one of the few people I have seen that has a personal AA-12. I have yet to see one at any range, or even the full auto shootouts in the area. You mentioned you built it, so that explains where you got yours. As far as I know, the AA-12 was designed in the 70's and was never adopted by any military units due to it's sporadic tendency to double fire. It even did it to you in your video. And the Future Weapons video shows the damn thing jamming up!

  • Like I said, I'll stick to my Saiga-12s that I can buy for $450, and make 992r for another $120, and shoot SEMIAUTOMATIC faster than your AA-12 fires full auto. youtube.com/watch?v=sqJP2WfvR44

  • @FPSRussia ill stick with my remington 870. i like it much more. plus i can load it with anything.

  • @FPSRussia lol, i knew one day i would see a comment by u on a random gun video.

  • @FPSRussia

Better than a pump? Yes. Better than a Saiga-12? No. Especially if you've got a full auto Saiga-12...it makes the AA-12's "full auto" look pathetic. The main benefits of the AA-12 are its stainless steel components and its inherently recoil-absorbent design, but the Saiga-12 is still quite controllable if you know what you're doing.

Anyway, the Average Joe can't even get an AA-12, so fuck it. If they become available to the public at a reasonable price, then we'll talk.

  • @FPSRussia - Learning up on your bullshit so you can act like you know about shotguns you Fraud?

  • @Derail07 Fraud? Have you ever seen FPSRussia's videos before?

  • @IggyBeBallinTV - I have seen an American with a fake accent try to act like he knows what he is talking about. I have not watched his video's ever since he blocked me.

  • @Derail07 Alright I see your point, and I know he isn't actually russian (I listen to Painkiller Already in which he is a host). And I also agree that the AA-12 isn't the best shotgun around.

  • @IggyBeBallinTV -

Why do you think the fag came here talking about those borrowed AA12’s? So he could learn about Shotguns

  • @kendrickmeadows thats as true as kids playing too many M rated games :halo,COD,Dead Space, and GOW

  • @kendrickmeadows you have to admit, past present and future, the trusty pump action will always reign supreme

  • @mercturd85 in no way would I admit to that... They take too long to load, and shoot... I can dump 20 rounds in 3.4 seconds from my saiga. And I can reload another 20 in around 2 more seconds. So you grab your pump actions crap stick, and 40 rounds. I'll do the same, and we can see who pops off more rounds!!!

    ww.youtube.com/watch?v=sqJP2WfvR44

  • @kendrickmeadows maybe with an extremely inexperienced operator take long to load, but whenever your mags are out i can reload twice before you reload a mag. and with a shotgun, rate of fire doesnt matter much, compared to a rifle. pump actions are easier to function and way more reliable than any semi auto, even one with an ak style cycle

  • @mercturd85 Let me guess, next you’re going to say you can out shoot my M9 with a revolver and some speed loaders... The 1900 are long gone, and the nostalgia of antiquated firearms has died with it.

  • @kendrickmeadows All hail, all hail. Realism prevails - but then, there ARE more copies of "Black Ops" than there are informed people.

  • The shotgun doesnt get the respect it deserves. To many weekend warriors are running around with tricked out M4s that 'look cooler' than they are practical. People forget the simple effectiveness of a shotgun

  • Whats the accual purpose of the strung buck rounds?

  • What they dont mention here is that flechettes are not made to kill directly, but they are made to bleed the enemy to death and force enemy medics to give attention to their wounded comrade.

The weighted back end of the dart will cause the nail to bend when it enters the human body, making it extremely hard to get out. Flechette rounds were banned in wars due to how devestating they are, the only nation still using them is israel

  • @Eyeblades I wonder if there's a tinfoil hat information video around aswell?

  • @ufailhard1 word

  • Message is clear get a few flechettes and strung buck rounds!

If I want to set something on fire I'll throw a molotov...

  • Respect my authoritya!!

  • @ufailhard1 oh ok thanks :)

  • Dragon Breath LOL

  • I am literally retarded after watching this herp deerp daaaarp

  • The Flechette is terrifying. Honestly if you committed a crime with Dragon's Breath it would scare the bejeezes out of anyone.

  • @theskiesbelowme The Flechette is beyond terrifying. When i first saw that, i sat silent in a state of horror. I seriously didn't know we had such barbaric ammo for shotguns. After witnessing Dragons breath and the Flechette, the thought of being blasted at close range with regular buckshot seems humane.

  • @fi7thy

"I seriously didn't know we had such barbaric ammo for shotguns. "

Look up bolo rounds, even worse...

As far as firearms go, I assure you that's on the low end of anti-infantry technology, how about a massive automated swarm of stealth hovering drones that shoot you with Fragmentation rounds, lolz.

  • @fi7thy We dont use flechette rounds for that exact reason of being "barbaric" the Geneva convention bans them because they can't garantee a %100 incapassitation on impact rate. and dragon breath rounds (to the best of my knowlage) have no legitamate use period besides looking neat when u fire it. As for your last comment the buckshot at close range acts as one massive round that is more humane than you might think.

  • they REALLY need to show the exotic rounds on that Timewarp show on discovery. that's be so bad ass

  • can you fire all these ammo types on the same shotgun without changing anything on it?

  • @littlebuch afaik most shotguns have the same size in barrels,or more like, when we go to the shooting range, we could use any type of ammunition we bought until now,n thats like,no idea,4 maybe 5 years of shooting.

and even though those ammo types in the vid are "exotic", its only the contents of the shells thats really exotic,as you can see in a part of the video above~

  • i know that the contents only are ''exotic'' but i was trying to find out if you can shoot those ammo types without changing or modding anything on your gun (if its a 12 gauge)

  • @littlebuch all you need to enjoy these exotic shells is a standard pump-action 12 gauge of any brand really. as far as mods go, i believe anything you add won't neccesarily help or harm the performance of the shells. but i have heard of significant barrel damage to the gun if the shells are consistently used. i hope this helps you.

  • @drumgasm ok thanks im a ''noob'' xD

  • can any shotgun take any shell?

  • This was a good video and I learned a lot

  • @Eyeblades 2 tumbs up, DEAD ON, on cops numbers. Yet both dangerous and

anoying; A commen John Dick Loser, rises to levels of "bravery", he'd NEVER adchief without nearly unlimited power by "Law", Guns, copius amounts of back-up,

AND.. a near to," License to kill" ! Cops! F*** E'M, All !!

  • man i would love to see the effects of a frag 12

  • how ironic, one of the test objects was an Oldsmobile cutlass. All it needed was some Daytons on it.

  • @HugoIStayHere and a bald headed sureno with a .45 in his lap

  • thx very helpful

  • it said "deadly" but there was a flashbang @ 37...i dont think ive ever seen anyone use a flashbang besides swat or marines...

  • no more infomercials on guns i miss the 80s

  • What about the frag 12? What would that do to a human?? I guess it will turn you into grinded meat.

  • @Bjjownsu10 Can you also imagine how expensive those are to buy and own?

  • Dart rounds are some scary things, aren't they :)

  • @kommandojoe ye, just saw there another shotgun round made Oo

its like, the tactical rifled slug, but when it leaves the shot gun, 4 little propelors pop out, increasing there range by nearly 50% Oo its to nice.. lol

wish you could have like 2/3 of all these rounds in an AA12! wouldnt tht be fun.. xD

  • Great video, thanks for uploading!

  • Fucking amen

  • One of the most well presented & informative vids I've seen in here . 5stars .

  • That ballistics gel seems awefully soft. IIRC, #9 low brass shot shells only penetrate about 2" into BG.

  • 5:10

  • Big thanks for sharing

  • Good thing he brought his wife's car to demonstrate...

  • great

  • The information regarding flechette darts may be misleading, many of the steel arrows curb sideways and backwards causing less the desirable results. Flechette darts were designed as high penetration incapacitating shot with minimal knock down power. however the victim would eventually bleed to death.

  • I hate how they never mention what level of armor there using.

  • They mentioned the sabot, pronounced say bow, but didn't talk about it. I would like to see the gel test from 150 yard SST and Lightfield shots.

  • are there any other videos from " rounds of authority"? with other guns?

  • I know gay gun owners, are they in a constant self loathing torment? I bet you people who own guns and you just don't know it.

  • well guns are for real people not people who think its cool to like cock

  • The Pink Pistols would disagree with you.

  • hrm yes gay men are completely impervious to anxieties related to their sexuality

  • Well... I've met alot of people who are insecure, and/or homophobic both in and out of the shooting sports community, but I don't think there's any reason to draw a concrete link between the two. P.S. check out my gun review vids if so inclined.

  • Insecure about what?

  • their sexuality, their intelligence, their penis, you name it

  • well now you have met one that isn't

  • i sorta doubt that

  • whenever i heard authority i remeber eric cartman...

respect my authority and a baton to the kneecap :)

  • buck and ball is my favorite

  • Mailbox lol

  • Yes easy . close

  • could a bird shot kill some one

  • there are different sizes of bird shot, but without getting into alot of detail, the short answer is yes

  • Good video but a little out of date. I've fired Dragons breath and outside the fact that magnesium can't be put out once It's ignited, I wasn't that impressed.

The best round for a shotgun is oldschool 00 Buck. 9 .380 cal pellets do alot of damage and penetrate deeply enough to put a man down.

If you need more than that, 1 1/4 ounce slug on a full powder charge will bring down anything in North America.

Only thing that hits harder is a 45-70, but thats a smaller slug (350 - 500 grains).

  • my fave is the flechet i might make some myself with nails

  • Ballistic gelatin is a joke. It does NOT simulate human tissue. It's a "gee whiz" gimmic created for effect by gun magazines so they can sell their sponsors' ammunition and pay for magazine ads. Human flesh consists of materials of varying size, shape, and density. Projectiles deflect and change paths when this happens. They should be shooting something more realistic like hog carcasses

  • Well it gives to a basic idea.

  • Deflect off of human tissue? Deflect where? Into the body? Seems if that is the case it might just cause more damage. #9 bird shot that is. I don't really see a slug deflecting off human tissue. Could be wrong.

  • Comment removed

  • Yes you can shoot them out of the same gun. The ability to change ammo to fit the purpose is what makes the shotgun such a useful firearm. There are some things you need to know though. Some newer shotguns with overbored barrels are not safe for slugs but they will have a warning.. Also, some chokes are too tight for rifled slugs and I wouldn't go past full choke although you will have some leading and mod is probably the best. Don't use supper full or turkey full or anything like that.

  • You should go kill your self, and never touch another gun in your life

  • i was shot with birdshot when 1 was 17 it only penetrated a few inches in my skin but the force broke 2 of my ribs,im fine now i just have a nasty scar

  • @ 0x123456789ABCDEF,

I highly doubt a 12ga. slug would "bounce off" the forehead of a Grizzly, but I'd agree there are way better options for that application. I love my shotguns, but I'd take a good .30-06 over the 870 any day if I was in bear country. If I had to use the 870, I'd load it up with 3" magnum slugs and try for a head shot(s). I imagine even 000 buck would be relatively ineffective on a pissed, charging Grizzly.

  • oh and they forgot HE rounds and the famous .70 cal buckshot with 3 balls.

  • how is +P+ 9mm ammo "Law Enforcement only" when .357 sig ISNT?! they both can push a 115grn bullet at the same speed (1,400fps i beleive).

  • When I was in lawenforcement we would open our buckshot shells, drill a hole through each shot and tie a "necklace" with 20lb test line, when fired it would cut a cookie cutter hole at 20 yrds!

  • 7:00 Slug....

    Saiga-12 has 20 big 3" magnum slugs.

  • that's the thing (excluding incendiary and magnesium rounds) shotguns offer a tradeoff of low penetration to high penetration!!!

  • "fired into various mediums" i think they just wanted to shoot stuff with a gun

  • I know, somebody will say "Duh, dude". Well, I still take my 870 Police with me to every overnight hike, but I'd rather stick to the Brenneke dangerous game slugs, since they are the hardest and the heaviest on the market (well, maybe the "Terminator" slug will match). With all this - EXCELLENT VIDEO, thanks. It prompted we to visit Wikipedia and refresh my high school physics :)

  • My bad, I was wrong. A 1 oz slug moving at 1600 fps has a kinetic energy of 2486 ft·lbs, which puts it into the 30-06 class. Same very slug has linear momentum of only 100 lb·ft/s, and since momentum is conserved, the complete transfer of it will accelerate a 70 lb log to only 1.4 ft/s... and that's exactly what I've seen. And a 30-06 bullet has even less momentum, but it has the excellent stopping power. It is the kinetic energy and disruption of tissue that kills, not mechanical impact.

  • I was somewhat disappointed with slugs. Shot a wet, 70-80 lb log with a 2.75" slug at 15 yards from my Rem 870, 18.5 in. barrel police shotgun. The log shook, then lazily fell over. There was a nice entry wound right in the middle, but no exit wound at all. Maybe I am wrong, but discharging this into the forehead of a charging, 700 lb grizzly bear may be a fruitless idea. It may just bounce off. But don't get me wrong - slugs are hell of a fun to shoot!

  • police you rock

  • yeah, i imagine the shots causing severe lacerations, and the surgeon gotta dig out every pellet. also lead is toxic to human body. ) :

  • I know alot of guys that through hunting accidents took pellets..

They are still walking around with pellets lodged in bone or tissue the doctors could not remove.

Likewise I know a guy who was practicing his quick draw with a pistol, he still has a .22 slug in his leg....

Be safe with guns, dont do anything stupid.

  • i wonder how a wound will heal when a person is hit by the bird shots

  • Birdshot leaves a very nasty (albeit very shallow) wound. I could imagine it leaving a pretty nasty-looking scar, but probably not any serious, permanent injury. I could be wrong, though.

  • There's just one issue with healing from a birdshot wound: Knives will cut, slugs will tear, but birdshot shreds. A pretty nasty injury at close range.

  • Yeah, that's what I mean. Really nasty wound, but too shallow to be instantly lethal (for the most part).

I remember reading about a guy who got a full load of buckshot point-blank into his torso, but managed to call 911 for himself and greet the EMT's when they arrived.

  • I think you meant birdshot.

  • Indeed I did. My bad.

  • Amazingly informative.

  • Very professional way to load a single shell... pay attention.

  • Awesome video, I have to admit.... A+++++++++

  • exotic starts at 12:15

  • you have no idea what you are talking about. Oh wait, you are in England, of course you dont. you let the politians take your gun rights away.

  • a rifled "slog", how about SLUG. quit talking about real guns and go play halo.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah so dont speak it you highland prick. just as i do not attempt to speak your shitty language.

  • Interesting, but this is some scary stuff.

  • lol u can see the wad bounce off the target.

  • They sould make tracer buckshot or birdshot. I found a shotgun round called the terminator. It has two slugs in one shell. kind of like buck and ball

  • Yeah that one looked pretty good. They also make a round with the OO stacked one on the other and the " Rhodesian Jungle " round bird shot in front of heavy buck shot. Supposedly to clear through the brush and open up a path for the buckshot.

  • They do have that. It's called the sportsmans tracer, comes in #8 birdshot.

  • Ooh, I remember those "Bolo" rounds in Shotgun News in the late 90s! (The "Strung Buck" of the video.)

The "Dragon's Breath" rounds were also memorable. Cool to see these actually being tested here, brings me back to some memories. I wonder if they still make that stuff?

  • Oh yeah, I just saw some at a gun show last week. You can find them (and all the other speciality rounds online) . I think I googled " Exotic 12 gauge ammunition "

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • the music for this clip is sooooo 80s cheese

  • they say reloading is fun and easy...guess more people will end up loading their own.

  • If guns were phallic, no man would have bought one with a two inch barrel.

  • Are the prices of shotgun ammo going up as much as rifle and pistol ammo? My 12 gauge is the only weapon I have, figured I'd start stocking up just as soon as college is over.

  • Actually, the prices of ammunition for shotguns hasn't been affected too badly. a 24 round pack of 12ga. buck shot is only around 8-10 dollars at a local walmart..

  • informative video

  • so much for bullet resistant glass:)

  • im a grab that buck and ball load,it can be bought at any gun shop rite?

  • I don't know about that, but it's in every issue of Shotgun News.

    J & G sales 928 445 9650

It's called: Centurion Multi Defense 12 gauge Buckshot

    ( 1 .650 Ball & 6 # 1 Buckshot Pellets )

    Box of 10 rounds/$10.95

  • Buck and ball was used by the soldiers in the American Revolution.

  • or people with lives and money, sorry you didn't make the club. ( ;

  • you compare guns to model trains? wow, what a gun hater. they are guns, good for shooting clay or going out with your friends to hunt a turkey, you know friends... remember you had those... back when you were instituted in a gay asylum? ba ha ha ha! go die fuck knuckles. why do you even watch when you don't like guns? comments were made for bitter old cocksmokers like you that want to release all the anger that's built up slowly during all the lonely years as a balding unattractive BEOTCH!
