does it cost you more then buying the sky caddie to get the different courses? also does the sg 3.5 have the same feature to be able to see how far it is to various targets as you showed at 1:30
It holds 20 courses at once which you may change online anytime. Yes it works in Mexico as I mapped the top 20 courses there myself as a pro mapper for SkyGolf.
The membership you choose dictates where it works which currently is over 24000 worldwide and accesses updates we create continually.
We won't make a smartphone app because everyone has a diff. manufacturer phone which most are less accurate than SkyCaddie due to the quality of the GPS chip used.
it looks like this video was shot in the 80s w/ the clothes and terrible camera, my phone gets better video than that, if it werent for the sg5 i would have been fooled

I have is unit, and for me it helps with my yardage. Sometimes the markers on the course are off, and this come in handy. With any range finder you still have to factor in the wind and slop you are on to choice the right club. But over all this is a great tool to have.
Nice device, but you can do the same thing for free with a blackberry, iphone, or any other gps enabled phone. Yep, FREE. I wouldn't recomend buying stock in skycaddie!
Good only for iPhone 3G - you forgot to add that. I have the original iPhone and the app does not work with that particular model. Which leads one to believe as the phones advance, the software will not. Not all courses are supported as well. A dedicated company will ensure golf courses are periodically updated.
Thanks for the comment. I was using a FlipVideo camera for this review. The SykCaddie is much better in person. I've since upgraded to a better camera.

Nice review but way to much background noise and you can barely see the screen on the GPS. I supposed its better in person. Thanks for the review.
