fury u had it in the bag man x men origins was an origin movie without the origin that was wrapped up in the first 10 mins wolverine went from 10 to 30 in 10 mins we didnt really needa movie bassed around wolverine getting his bones we had x men one and two do that already what we had was basically a prequel to x men 3 done in the same rushed stlye trying to cram so much into so little i i repeat wolverine was shot in the face in thos first few mins so why does the bullet metal matter at all

I've been an x-men fan since for like 17yrs, and i gotta say.. the fans like myself deserved better.

I enjoyed Wolverine for the most part. I could easily pick some scenes that I thought were badly done or that ruined a particular character. Still I don't think it was a waste of my time and money.

We all have our opinions and I'm happy to hear somebody with a different opinion since it might make me reconsider my own. Fury is one of the most enjoyable movie sites.

Glad to hear that attitude. For a lot of people, a flaw means something is ruined, but sometimes the good stuff can be so good that the flaws don't even begin to matter, ya know?

Any complaints I could find about Wolverine were all comparisons to the comic, nothing about the movie's actual quality, so I choose not to consider them flaws. They changed Deadpool, big deal, when X-Men 1 came out, ALL of the characters were changed.

Thats good criticism. A good reviewer should always judge the movie based on its own merits, not what was left out from the source material.

However some comic movies like Garfield end up changing the characters so much that they throw out everything that made the character appealing in the first place.

Really well said, Fury, and motivational.... I really try to come from that insightful fan place you speak of; sometimes Gab or Dad get a little silly/harsh - but hopefully just in good fun! It's been educational to become part of and grow within the YouTube movie community, and hopefully G&D are evolving to the higher standard of which you speak. It really is about loving movies, and in a thoughtful and good-attitude way! Thanks so much for your example in this arena!

Well, I didn't watch Wolverine. I am and have been as long as I can remember, a big fan of comics including Spider-Man, X-Men, DD, Superman, Etc... So I look forward to any movie release based on comics. Having not watched this particular one yet, I felt like I was being impartial while listening to the debate last night. But in the end, both brought out excellent points and it really sounded like it was just a matter of what you expected the movie to be like going into it.

I'd like to say that Fury got my vote because my opinion is very similar to his. But that wouldn't be fair. That makes me biased. I think that the point by DistantJ about it just being a pure bad ass action flick showing Wolverine doing what he does best is great and make me actually want to see the movie even after all the negative reviews I've read and listened to.

Well said fury! You realy take into account what kind of audiance and what level of deapth a movie brings. I don't realy or watch alot of reviews by mainstream critics, although I think Jonathon Ross is a realy good one personaly. Here in the UK, he hosts a show called "Film 2009 with Jonathon Ross" and he gives a very ballenced and detailed insite into the film. Dunno if you've heard of him or not, but you may like his reviews :).

A hatred of an opinion is something I will never understand. People I'm subscribed too constantly have views opposing my own. I love Trick-R-Treat, you didn't. Mr.Black wasn't high on Spiderman 3, I was, you enjoyed Transformers 2, I hated it, but that doesn't mean that I should boil in anger and unsubscribe or go on an attack. That stuff is immature.
