Ferguson was pretty good. I kind of tuned out half of the crap he said because I was eating cookies, but things he said about younger players made sense.
I also think that the Leafs outplayed the Sabres immensely and I have put Miller on my hit list.
Well this is actually the FIRST I've ever heard of him, but I'm actually staring at a few sites regarding him right now. Nothing but rave reviews, which is exciting. University players are unpredictable. The Leafs future already looks decent in my opinion, and if they sell later this month it should be even better.
The idea of a Tank Nation out there is pretty hilarious to me. I first heard about the whole thing from Greg Brady (co-host of the Bill Watters Show), and it basically implies that the team should lose consistently for the rest of the year to preserve a shot at Steve Stamkos #1 overall
I used to be a Zamboni driver for the city of calgary, and I remember when Fuhr was with the flames they used to practice at my rink, and I remember thinking once.. I just flooded for grant fuhr!! the best job ever I must say..
You know steve, i like you, your a good guy but get off the fucking bandwagon for fuck sakes.. You keep on saying you were always beleiving in the leafs then whenever they loose its trade Sundin and get stamkos.. make up your god damned mind.
What> I'm FIRMLY on the trade Sundin badnwaggon, I just have conflicted feelings. It's like voting for the less shitty of two bad candidates. I don't WANT to watch my team lose, so I'm sad when they lose. But i also don't want them to win because we don't get as good a pick, which also makes me sad. The Leafs are breakin' my heart man! LIKE WHAT THE FUCK?! IT'S VALENTINE'S DAY! WAHHH...but yeah, I kinda want them to trade Sundin but seeing him on another team will hurt.
i am pissed off about that loss. thank you strahlman. you cant just freaking fall down and give the puck away behind your own net. i mean he's a great young prospect and i guess he's gonna make mistakes, but now is really not the time to make mistakes like ThAT, when we need to get a good run goin and push for the playoffs.
Hey Steve, do you think the leafs have any interest at all at Campbell? Probably not considering they will most likely become a "seller" but what about Afinogenov? Paille has a lot of trade value also. Do you see Fletcher making a deal within the Northeast? Thanks.
of COURSE they're interested, but can they get him? They're already spending something like 18-20 million on their defense core. NONE of the players you mentioned, I think, are aquireable to the Leafs.
The thing about neck skate injuries is that it rarely ever happens but when it does it is DEVISTATING. I never forget to wear mine
Zednik acted fast and immediately skated to the bench, if he decided to fall over and waited for a trainer it might of been a different story.
I encourage every hockey player no matter what calibur to wear neckguards, as we'd probably die before medical help arrives. Zednik was lucky he had so many medical staff on standby
one thing to the NHL's credit, their mecical staff is fantastic. there's literally 3 instances I can think of in my lifetime where they've saved somebody's life (Malarchuk, Fischer, Zednik).
props for giving toskala reckognition and it's true hate to see a goalie lose 1-0 or even 2-1 you can't win a game most of the time if you only score one goal. The team has to back him up.
much appreciated, thank you. It's a Leaf tradition to hang your goalies out to dry. As much as Raycroft sucks this year he was pretty much hung out to dry last year AND this year. It's one thing to get booed, it's another to be booed by your own fans, and it's a completely different ball-game to get booed at your team's skills competition.
The Zednik incident was exactly what you said it was, a 'freak accident'. In the last 20 years, this has happened twice, one of them being Zednik and the other a goalie Malarchuk back in '89.
The subject of mandatory visors alone is still on the table and will be for a while now. If neck guards are implemented it means that the number of accidents such as Zednik's are beginning to rise. So no, I don't want to see them go mandatory if that's the case. Visors need to come first, IMO.
Ferguson was excellent last night. He is a smart guy, but was unable to properly do his job, because of the 1 arm tied around his balls...and Peddie peeking over his shoulder.
JFJ made sense when he explained the contracts he signed the players to. I still can't believe a GM actually wanted to trade for McCabe, but that is another story.
TSN should lose Milbury(and Healy to for that matter) and sign up Fergie. He should jump at the oppurtunity, look how Brian Burke turned out after his stint at TSN!
good lord Milbury is TERRIBLE. that only smart things he ever says are unanimous things that nobody questions. "If I'm a GM, i want Ovechkin on my team!" Noooo really? He was, dare I saw, the worst GM ever. He HANDED the Sens their team, gave up Luongo, the list goes on.
Well I thought Stillman and Commodore should've been the icing on the cake but they're 0-2 by my count. If they can find somebody to step up and become the undisputed #1 goalie then they're a threat again. But right now if I'm almost any of the top 8 teams in the west I'm not that scared of Ottawa. Go to the SteveDangle facebook group and read my article I wrote about Ray Emery. I think you'd find it interesting.
Man the leafs did play very well last night but they still lost, for the way the leafs played they deserved the 2 points out of that one...Toskala played very well, they put on pressure but couldn't beat miller which makes me very pist off... Miller did play very well last night... and no i don't think that the leafs will make the plaoffs either..but still I can say GO LEAFS GO...but don't ask me why
1-0 games (especially when u lose) are 99% of the time very boring/uneventful

Loved the song dedication to Toskala.
Yeah, 1-0 losses really hurt. & this reply is late because I'm just watching your videos now.:P

Are you a Member of TANK NATION??

is that a site or a metaphor for somebody that wants the Leafs to tank the season so they can rebuild?

What do you think about stillman and commodore?
Better d for us, and more secondary scoring...now if only one goalie could get his gameb back.
Id still prefere emery, but this you win you stay thing is kinda stupid.
Emerys gettin there, but the other night gerber looked AWESOME, but they lost, so hes benched....sigh...come on paddock get your head together.
