  • How long is the case is if like 2 feet or 3 ?

  • Guess what? I'm the son and also the one who built my PC... lol

  • I swapped my gt 9500 for my dad's gtx 550Ti.

    He still doesn't know yet.

  • @sk8rkid135 HAhaha, that's the sort of thing I'd have done when i was a kid. My parents wouldn't know the difference. they've never opened a 3d application since they got their first pc 13 years ago. LOL

  • may you be my dad? :D

  • So i want a bit of a don rig. One that could play most games with no problems. And also get a big monitor on it, (bigger than what he has^^) how much would i expect to pay for parts and software?

  • redbottleneck...

  • 9800GT and a i7, LOL....

  • This guy is putting me to sleep.

  • oh yeah and i suggest getting asus M5A99X MOBO

  • if you want something cheaper than get HD 6870 or 5870 so later on u can upgrade to crossfire :)

  • Nice (;

Btw, need ya kid all of that? O:

  • Honestly, it will bottleneck like a fuck.

  • zalman = loud? you must have some screwed up ears they are made for high performance low noise lol, take the fan off of full speed it will cool just as well on 50% as 100% speed

  • My dad built a similar computer for my sister. However, she only used it for web browsing and word. I had a MUCH shittier computer and did things that required MUCH more processing power. So, while my parents and sister were away for some time, I replaced all the components inside (except the hard drives) and no one ever knew the difference.

  • @tiny3607 lolololz epic

  • @gamefan4071 Worst part is, they eventually found out (cause my sis' PC kept BSODing) and made me return all the components to my sisters computer and then they bought me a new computer. But it was an iMac.

  • @tiny3607 Hahaha

    fair enough :D

  • @tiny3607 Same here.I hate how they give them more stuff and they end up using it for meaningless operations.

  • @tiny3607 You are the troll of geeks.

  • @tiny3607 Lol Nice

  • @tiny3607 You beast lol

  • @tiny3607 Haha! Nice one.

  • @tiny3607 Really?, imma tell ur mom (: jk, i would had done the same, know i have the best rig on my house (:

  • @tiny3607

    like a ninja boss!

  • @tiny3607 you are awesome

  • @tiny3607 Clever guy! :D

  • @tiny3607 lol. good job

  • @tiny3607 That's so awesome

  • @tiny3607 LOL imagine if they find out (btw that was a douche bag move no offence)

  • @TheMrbeast99 They did eventually find out because my sisters computer kept getting extreme hardware failure problems (i.e the hard drive making horrific clicking noises as the reading needle tore it self apart). They made me return all the parts to her computer and decided to get me a new computer. To satisfy my high performance needs, they bought me a pathetic iMac. Now not only can the hardware not support everything I want to do, but now the software doesn't either!

  • @TheMrbeast99 But I do still love my parents, and I know they meant well buying me a new computer. (I really needed one).

  • @tiny3607 hahahasha thats a prank

  • @tiny3607 cheeky

  • @tiny3607lucky you seeing as most installations on harddrives wont allow a boot without the correct mobo from the install given that the drivers are not there for it. :)

  • @millzie5 At the time, I was unaware of this. However, I only didn't switch the hard drives because my sister might notice that most of her documents and applications were gone, not because of the problems that might arise with the HDD/MOBO setup.

  • really nice bro love the colors

  • @fearontiger 1000 Watt? Never. 550 Watts from XFX (they have Seasonic technic) or Seasonic for example are fully enough.

  • Every comment on here is about bottleneck LOL

  • @TheBONExHEAD yeah cause people are too lazy to read all comments and they think they are the smartest on the world LOL

  • @fearontiger Dual GTX 580's With 25% Overclock Top 741 Watt's, And I Have 4 Fan's, And A i7 3960K@4.8Ghz, So Please Don't State Thing's You Don't Know, Now Maybe, Dual Xeon's, Would Top 1000 Watt's If Used With Dual 580's.

  • what case is this...Xigmatek Asgard Gaming case???????????????

  • @fearontiger 1000 watts? That's only for like a quad sli 7970...

  • @fearontiger only need about 550w to run high end. 600w to be safe. But 750w leaves alot of room.

  • @fearontiger he don't need more than 600W PSU to run 2x6870 even with i7 1366 CPU mate. This set up will draw max 520W on the full load so 750W is more than enough.

  • @fearontiger i have a 6870x2 with only a 750w power supply, had no problems.

  • would this be considered a "bottleneck"? i am buying a new computer and this is the parts i am getting and i am buying them form newegg.combut anything not on here like the optical drives will be bought instore: i dont thingk i will have enough characters to post it in one post so i there will be a couple

  • @fearontiger if I would put GTX580 card to the PC with ie. E5200 yes this is bottleneck.

But if my son doesn't gaming and he's using Powerful CPU along with the 9800GT there is no bottleneck at all, why is so hard to understand this to you guys?

  • @blackwhite321 Well if you'd have actually TOLD US that he was not gaming, we wouldn't be complaining. Stop telling us that we don't know about bottlenecks, and tell us why, instead of just ranting and making out we don't know anything!!!!1!!!

  • @TyneGibbs12 if you would read you what I am writing you will know that he is not gaming, so please read first and then talk ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @fearontiger yeah I herd about it, you guys know what the bottleneck is, I don't think so ;)

  • looks crap :P

  • @mcrayzor1 glad u like it :P

  • @blackwhite321 needs lights or somethink

  • First few words out of the man's mouth, "...it's nothing fancy".

The top posts are about bottlenecks! Maybe the volume was down for you folks.

  • @garekinokami

What's decent? People have different opnions on decent. 9800GT is a pretty fuckin dated card, bro.

  • @Urindunk Hahahaha

  • @Urindunk ...you're joking right? I mean, you do get the point of hand-me-down, right?

...Right? In any case, good luck.

  • @garekinokami

Sorry, my comment was meant for apsluke.

  • can you be my dad?

  • i wish i had a dad who would build or buy a PC for me :-(

  • my computer i7 2600k 3,4ghz, gtx 570 phantom, 8gb ddr3, 124 gb ssd <--- this pc is now middle good, December 2012 buying new kepler graphic card gtx 680

  • case is cool everthing other is shit 2 gb ram ? i think you live in year 2001 ?

  • Get rid of that 9800gt and get a 560 ti

  • @CamNM1991 no need

  • @blackwhite321 9800gt+i7=bottleneck

  • @ghiolfanjberg bottleneck of what? You have no idea about hardware mate ;)

  • @blackwhite321 uuuhm, I think he is right. The CPU processes information faster than the GPU can handle. Atleast that's what I also think

  • @wookumschnookum as long as hes not gaming there is no bottleneck. What about onboartd graphics cards, are they bottleneck too LOL

GPU in this case can be not good enough for gaming but definitely there is no bottleneck guys.WTF GPU can bottleneck of if hes not gaming, with displaying desktop???

  • @blackwhite321 uuhm, ok so he's not gaming?

Then why get him a i7, X58 motherboard and 6GB's of ram...

  • @blackwhite321 They're just saying "Why pay so much for the CPU when you're going to skimp on the GPU?" I mean if it's not for gaming then why not get a cheaper CPU like maybe an AMD? Use you use the extra money for other things, like maybe another hard drive? Space is always good.

  • @AznSlayer93 so why they don't read what I wrote?I said that I had this CPU and RAM, so what the point to sell them £70 for the CPU and £35 for the RAM and but crappy AMD CPU for same money?Amd 500 GB HDD Samsung F3 is on its way ;)

  • @blackwhite321 no need for the high end processor then.

  • @blackwhite321 Dont listen to him. The 9800gt is still a very strong card that can handle crysis 2. He doesn't know what he is talking about.

  • @apsluke

What does "handle Crysis 2" means? Does it mean that it manages to start the game?

  • @Urindunk It means it can play the game at a decent fps at medium-max settings.

  • @CamNM1991 6950 is 10-15% faster and cheaper.

  • @CamNM1991 I got the Gtx560 from Gigabyte. Cheaper and almost same performance

  • @Collective11011 The 560Ti fucking obliterates the 560, the 560 is a terrible card for the money, theres like 3 other cards within $20 range of that card and they're all much better.

  • @xlaleclx interesting.

  • @CamNM1991 a 560 TI that supports SLI :P

  • @CamNM1991

Gotta love how there's always some jackass coming onto PC build videos from TWO YEARS AGO and telling the person to get the most high end modern card. Did you stop to think it might be out of his budget range?

  • @CamNM1991 Look at the year of this video, the 500 series cards where JUST coming out and cost alot, you should of said a 400 series card.

  • @MADdrummer971 Okay I didn't pay attention to the video upload date shut up already, even if it didn't come out until a few months afterwards its still a great suggestion and a great cheap card.

  • I agree with psilo, but the i7 really wouldn't be needed in this build, unless he is video editing and stuff..

  • @C4ptKrunch it was mine CPU and it wasn't worth it to sell as they are cheap now. Also RAM was mine so all I needed was MOBO - I bought it for £35, that's why he has this PC.

  • @blackwhite321 oh okay makes sense then.

  • Comment removed

  • people here dont even know what real bottlenecking a system is, everyone has the idea that only if you have the very best computer parts its being bottleknecked. its just some people like you who had computers given to you with nice stuff inside. mine had a pentium 1 @90mhz and no 3d capable card. I dont get what most the little kids on here bitch so much about their computer not playing games on maximum at ultra settings. get a fuckin job and buy your own shit, maybe u wont bitch like girls

  • @PsiloCybinDreamX that comment deservs more thumbs buddy

  • it's not nice case! flappy side panel, weak quick mounting brackets, little room room for cabel management. with couple dollars more you can buy much more quality case like bitfenix shinobi or antec one hundred.

  • HI DAD!!!........i wish.

  • 9800gt and core i7? wow epic bottleneck.

  • @tehfo0tsteps it would be bottleneck if C2D 5200 with GTX580 mate. Now is not bottleneck as his not playing a lot of games, so this GFX card is good enough for him.

  • @blackwhite321 it still a bottleneck, what ever you do it is bottleneck!

  • @AeroFix94 LOL interesting.I think you have not so much idea about computer hardware ;) How it could be bottleneck if he doesn't gaming, can you explain me please?

  • @blackwhite321 dosent care if he is playing games or not, still bottleneck like hell!

  • @blackwhite321 im sorry but why would he need a i7 then if hes not doing any gaming hte an 13 or 15 would be more suitable

  • @blackwhite321 The Cpu is holding back the gpu processing power...even if he doesn't gaming....something like 3d effect on the desktop won't that nice.

  • @qingqingyep The i7 holdig back GPU power- are you mad LOL :P

  • @blackwhite321 8gb is ideal coz you dont want your computer running full speed or jumping usage and 4gb is about a £10 upgrade.

  • @uranumty ddr2 would be more expensive so i wouldnt bother

  • @blackwhite321 Wo now, Don't spoil him with the 9800 gt.

  • @blackwhite321 i7 is overkill anyway.

  • @LotRElessar unless he uses the pc for video editing and rendering. We don't know what he uses the pc for, so don't judge. I use my i7 2600k for streaming 1080p, and rendering lengthy videos, and it's perfect. Cost me £30 more than the i52500k ;) worth it

  • @blackwhite321 then why would he need an i7?

  • @dahhmondz u know guys it is always not good for you, if he had E6600 people said what a crap, now he has i7 people says why so powerful CPU.Is it matter why he got i7?Are you jealous guys or what?

I will tell you that again.I HAD THIS CPU AND INSTEAD OF SELLING IT FOR CRAP MONEY I DECIDED TO GIVE IT TO MY SON.Is it something wrong with it???And yes he editing some video as well from time to time.

  • @blackwhite321 hey hey hey! im not hating!

its just that it would be alot cheaper to go with an intel i3/i5 or such to match the performance of the GPU^^

personaly i go with AMD phenom II X6 and ATI radeon 6950 so no, im not jealous. :)

  • @tehfo0tsteps Its called over kill dumbass bottleneck is the other way around.

  • @tehfo0tsteps how big of a bottleneck would a radeon 6670 compared to amd athlon 5000+

  • hmm pretty nice my graphic card is a AMD Radeon HD 6970

  • upgrade the graphics card... its really bad

  • all that, just for porn

  • hes polish :D u can hear it :D

  • Should have shown him how to build it/built it with him.

  • @otester He already build one basic PC and know what is what.

  • its good because it has the ability to be upgraded so easily, so say his son felt he needed a bit more ram he can do that since his dad will know how to do that kind of thing.

  • Hey guys, I currently have an Athlon and I am looking to get a new CPU, do you think it would be better to opt for a Phenom 1090t or to save up my money and get a 2600k + new mobo instead, will the performance justify the price? Thanks

  • @EmoticonMayhem Depends what you will be doing. Will you JUST be gaming on it? Will you have more than 1 gfx card? Do you plan on sli or crossfire in the future?

  • @EmoticonMayhem

Taking just GAMING into perspective a 1090t is perfect. I got a 1100t myself and im running it with 2 gtx 470 in sli of course.

  • @halo3sn1p3r lol, I think you forgot to do your research before you built your setup. First 2500k i5 quad core, will blow the 1100t six core, and the Bulldozer 8 core cpu out of the water (just look at the benchmarks). And the 470 price to performance ratio is terrible. The best setup for price to performance is the 6950 unlocked to a 6970 in crossfire mode, or if you want to save money the 460 in sli. I am an AMD fanboy, and AMD is NOT for gaming, its more for multitasking, and working.

  • @fitimio001

I would never buy a amd gpu. I got a m8 with 2 6870s in crossfire and gets under 60 fps on battlefield 3 on ultra. You get better performance with 1 6870 then u do with 2 under alot of games. Fail driver are fail...I wanted a 480 at the time so I got a 470 overclocked to a 480 (about 770 on core clock atm). Also you got it all wrong, amd is for gaming while intel is for highly threaded applications. Hence the reason of overpriced cpus from intel.

  • this pc is much faster than mine but does lot less than what i do.

  • PART 2

A 2gb onboard memory graphics card, and a generic DVD ROM.

According to everyone I asked, they said that it should put most other computers in their place. Including Intel. And this computer cost me no more than 900 dollars.

  • PART 1

Out of curiosity, why does nobody use an AMD Processor in their gaming rig?

In MY opinion, they're MORE reliable, NORMALLY faster, and most AMD motherboards have great overclocking software in the BIOS.

I just ordered the parts in for my new gaming rig, and It's going to have a 3.6 GHz AMD Processor, which by its reviews, I will be able to overclock to 4.5 GHz without issue. 12 gigs of RAM, (my friend ordered a brand that he didn't tell me about) a 650W power supply,

  • @MoIestiaPrincess

Please explain what you mean by "more reliable".

Currently AMD Bulldozer 8 core gets beaten by Intels i5 4 core on gaming by about 50%. AMD Phenom even beats Bulldozer which is a step backwards.

Current gen Intel CPUs have shown to be great OCers being able to reach about 4.5ghz no problem.

That's why no one uses AMD right now because they pretty much suck (Benchmarks back this up).

  • @lolwut1337n355 8 Core processors are still experimental, and generally unreliable.

I've also managed to clock my FX 4100 processor to almost 5.0 ghz on its stock heatsink. I'm currently running it at 4.8 ghz, and it's only 35C. as for other AMD processors in my other computers, I've had them for ages, while a Dell PC I had, (powered by intel) the processor died on me within two years. I've always found AMD to be better, but yet, Intel does have its perks.

  • @MoIestiaPrincess Stock? Damn, great job!

  • Judging by all the comments on here blasting people that have more then 8GBs ram must mean a majority of you have never heard of a ram drive. I game and I have 24GBs DDR3 on my system with 12GBs dedicated to a ram drive. Do some research before blasting people because it makes you look retarded.

  • i beg to differ on your ram arguments, i myself have 16gbs of ram, i often use over 6gbs of ram for normal processes, and more while playing games

  • @xelitepkingx 6 gigs? WTF do you call normal? I have .8 with Win7 and .65 with Ubuntu Oneiric. How the F*** do you get 6 gigs at idle?

  • @Justinba1010 not idle, with several different applications open, but nothing too big

  • @xelitepkingx That .6 and .8 are how many gigs of ram my system uses(dual-boot) So only 1 runs at once.

  • SPOILT FUCKING KID

  • LOLOLOL at RAM comments xD 6is recommended if u use a tripple channel processor, like i7, but i play BF3 at max and it isn't above 3,2 GB total (with background apps and Windows) If u use Mac OS X or Linux then how more the ram you have, the faster your pc works :P Games use mostly the GRAM from your video card (: faster cache etc.. Trust me, i'm an engineer :D

  • @cowclot lol its not that terrible but still

it cant max out assassins creed or devil may cry 4

which are easy to max out on most high end cards

i recommend the gtx 400 series or above for this cpu

  • 9800 gt ? not good enough

  • Do you know what will be funny if your son is playing and he spills his milk and it goes all over the desktop lol

  • EW get a new video card. that one is so 2008

  • you have a really lucky son..

  • Awesome dad mate , i wish i shuld have a dad like u

  • awesome dad!

  • 9800gt? ur outdate

  • Comment removed

  • I would love for you to be my dad

  • My monster what I call "Cindy"

    i7 2600k Overclocked to 3.6ghz

    8GB 1600mhz DDR3 Ram

    GTX 580 1,5GB

    Cooler: Corasir H50

    Case is an HAF-X

bootup drive: 96GB SSD and main drive 1,5TB WD drive

  • life.exe not found

  • @kisielthe1st You mean the guy making the video? Yes, it truly requires a life less non-human to build a computer. And a question to you; define "life". What makes a "life"?

  • @LaughingCatHD It was a joke O.o. I don't want to insult him, his son, you, or anybody.

  • Buddy dont reply to my comment saying 8 gig is recommended for a gaming rig 4 for your win7 os and 4 for gaming for making sure its fine , if you have a card running 1gb ram atleast you wont need over 2 gig from your actualy physical ram so dont haver lol , you need more than 6 for video editing ect ect , you name one game that uses 4 gig ram cache ;)

  • @millzie5 2 GB is not enough, 4 is ok, 8 is a bit future proof TBH.

  • @blackwhite321 funny that i have 16gb ram minimum lol im going to ramp it up to 32gb lol so i have plenty to dedicate to proceses

  • @pyronathanpyro if you do video rendering yes it will help, if only for gaming 8 GB is max you need, and 16 GB is waste of money.

  • @blackwhite321 well the shop neer me is selling some ram cheap coarsair vengance stuff si i thought why not get it while its on sale but i would agree 16 at normal price is a waste cheers

  • Comment removed

  • @blackwhite321 no, any amount of memory is enough depending on what game you want to play for somthing such as crysis you would need atleast 6 for it to run good but 8 would play perfect :)

  • @krisdeguy123 LOL.Did ever checked how much RAM is in use when playing Crysis?

When I play at 1080p with all maxed including AAX16 it was never more than 4 GB.So how you can say that 6 GB is minimum and 8 GB optimal?

  • @blackwhite321 shove you LOL up ur arse no way depending on how much fps there are and how high your settings are , Test It go on to settings and put everything on the highest you posibly can then max out your FPS to the highest you can take a look then?

  • @blackwhite321 I mean RAM is slowing down in increase. Plus Windows 7 is a waste, I use Ubuntu Oneiric, which sadly uses 3/4 of the amount of memory Windows does.

Atleast with Ubuntu, I have no problem with upgrades, since they're free. Plus they're incremented, and the last Ubuntu *PC* version is coming out, and will be supported for 7 years. So they can work on the Tablet. I mean its sad -_-.

  • @blackwhite321 games barely ever use more than 1 gig, ive only seen gta use 1,3 and crysis 1.1 SOMETIMES most game (saints row 3, Skyrim) use 900mb...

  • @DrOrtmeyer but a whole system use more.My OS only takes 1.5-2.0 GB

  • @blackwhite321 mine too :) * checks* 2.92 gigs

i just mean the games.. the games are never realy 64 bit, they say they are but there not....

  • @blackwhite321 i have 32gb and i use 31

  • @JayJaytheminingguy What programs are you running then? I don't believe you.

  • @Uberslime i run servers render hd video play games use blender...
