Scott, it truly is sad it took such a tragedy to open peoples eyes to the situation !! I moved to Java Lake in 1977 and grew up there. Not once did I drive through there thinking to myself there should be protection from those ponds !! Especially when my dad slid off the road into one of them. I'm so very sorry for yours and everyone elses loss of such an amazing person....
