One of the best endings in film history. Even if it stopped at Slim Pickens riding the bomb it would still be one of the best. But than it cuts to this distraught scene of how they are going to nuclear blasts. Than all of the sudden "mein fuhrer! I can walk!". Than the world blows up to the song "we'll meet again". I applaud Stanley Kubrick.

Ok, basically the film basically tackles the coldwar and the idea of mutually assured destruction in a humorous way. Mutually assured destruction is a strategy that was applied in the Cold War, to stop the US and Russia from dropping bombs. It basically meant that both countries threatened eachother with nuclear annihilation should either of them drop nuclear bombs on the other.

Kubrick is one of the most insane perfectionist directors in history, and Sellers got to ad-lib.
