If you listen @ 3:35 you can hear "fuck queensbridge" in the background. It's masked with the airplane effect, but if you listen close you can hear it.
@loverainydayz17 who the fuck you calling a poser?you bitch i know more about hip-hop than you will ever know i know krs-one lived like this and if not scott's death today he would probably rap about guns etc. i meant that they didnt kill each other during hip-hop beef it was only rap not like biggie and tupac so how about you stfu because to me you look like a fucking nerdy ass motherfucker...FUCK YOU!!!
I think now, the Bronx needs to do what MC Shan did with "THE BRIDGE", KRS gotta do a BX 2012 remix of South Bronx (kinda like what Shan did with his remix with all QB rappers). We need some revival for the birthplace of Hip Hop. Imagine, KRS featuring, French Montana, Cory Gunz, Fred da Godson, Fat Joe, Peter Gunz, Hell Rell, Drag-On, Lord Tariq, Tru Life, Lord Finesse, etc. Anyway tho, just a random thought.
The “style” referred to here is a particular flow or cadence used by MC Shan in The Bridge. KRS mimics this same flow to deliver the last four lines of this verse and the last two lines of the song. Not only does he diss MC Shan but he uses Shan’s own rhyme style to do it. Now that’s slick!
@MADNEWYORKER914 lol when it "left the east coast"? haha it's all about the West Coast kiid. As soon as Tupac got a hold of the rap game, niggaz was done, n that's when the REAL Hip Hop was born. The east coast just offered a different kinda style, but the WestCoast is where it's at n where it's going to stay

@Funkdogg Crooked I maybe the best out there in the west, but he is not the best in the game period!!! Don't trip, I like dude though. He has skillz!!!
@MADNEWYORKER914 he sure does. and i say the best but i should say one of the best because choosing 1 mc as the best is just silly. but i do think he is one of the best in the game though. but there are still so many mc's i not even heard yet.
@hiphop4life24678 Dude, are you fucking stupid? You have to be a poser. You don't know a damn thing about KRS ONE living the streets watching people get robbed and hookers whoring themselves out.

Just in case you were wondering, I'm saying you are fucking stupid kid.

@zer0nable I know, I meant crew in general meaning the people he was down with. The juice crew was still Mr. Magic's people. He played their records on his radio station and Marley Marl got the name juice from him. I never said he created them, but supported them.

@BIGnCHOCOLATE You been to the South Bronx lately? I'm from University Ave. where Scott La Rock was killed--everyone in that whole Yankee Stadium area is Dominican now, there are no old heads left--even the projects around there have changed.
whats the break on this? parts of it are two tracks from James Brown - "Get Up off Tha Thing" & "Get Up Get Involved" but the main part of the beat with the horn, where did that come from?

When driving throuh Compton a few years back, I thought it looked like the suburbs.... yeah.. thats right.. I said it! Where is the hood?
Put this track on, drive down any street in the South Bronx and the old heads will drop what they are doing and heads will start bouncing.
BTW: When did KRS1 make the switch from CRIMINAL minded to SPIRITUAL minded?

@BIGnCHOCOLATE You been to the South Bronx lately? I'm from University Ave. where Scott La Rock was killed--everyone in that whole Yankee Stadium area is Dominican now, there are no old heads left--even the projects around there have changed.
