I just went to Te Vara Nui a couple of weeks ago and it is the new epic highlight of Rarotonga; the most powerful, passionate, amazing, thunderously epic explosion of Polynesian culture I've seen in 15 years of Pacific island travels and 7 years of visting the Cook Islands. I've never experienced cultural intensity of this magnitude before, that experience will stay with me forever.
