@bidalorm I had a shot at it some months ago, but couldn't decide on a nice route, Mirkwood has so many different landscapes clumped close together, I'd have to run in circles haha. Maybe I'll do it some day.

Not played this in ages. Are there plenty of people still playing this ? I'm not even sure what my old account was called.

What drove me mad was the unfair trading system where the greedy raw material suppliers charged so much, that my weapons were too expensive to sell. I was operating at loss the whole time. At least until we formed groups and swapped internally. Free market trading didn't always work.

wait how does one own a horse in Lotro, what level do you have  to be, etc. ?

@leatherfaze03 To ride a horse/pony you need to buy riders licence at lotro store, or you can earn it in lvl 30, on a quest. to buy a horse, you need 500 silver, at Hengstacer farm in north of Bree. You can also buy some horses in lotro store.

@Kkosta actually 4 hobbits were 1. Peregrin Took,2. Meriadoc Brandybuck, 3.Bandobras Took and actually Bilbo Baggins supposidly was about 4 foot tall just tall enough to ride a horse

@XrandomkX The animation is again changed in the next expansion this Fall, as seen in the current beta. It looks much better than the one that's in live version.

@Alenari12 A hobbit musketeer indeed ^^ and there are many monsters, I just took the main roads most of the time. Besides, the monsters fear my feather, and my level lol.

The game is called " Lord of the Rings Online " or LotRO. The world is a little bigger now with the last big update a few months back. Its expected to get a whole lot bigger once the Rohan and Gondor regions are added in.

Not yet, new regions are added with each expansion, minor areas every few months, major (like Moria) every 1.5 years or so. Currently this video shows how far you can go (of course there are many more regions I didnt visit, like Angmar, North Downs, Evendim, Forochel.. as seen on maps) Next area to be added is south Mirkwood. Minas Tirith will be probably added after Rohan.. so in few years.

I'd love to but due to the size of the raw material and my disk space limitations, I had to compress and resize it all, deleting the original high res recording. The quality of the clips I uploaded is much better than what you see here though, youtube screwed it up, even though each clip has over 250MB which took ages to upload. So I'm afraid HQ is all there will be ;/
