This is my car (brothers account) Havent dynod it yet, but it runs a lot smoother now that its all broken in (this was the first time the car started after the cam work). Also, I dont know about what parts make a difference because the car went from stock to all the mods listed at one time, so all I can tell you is if you copy exactly what I did your LT1 will be a whole new monster. Its amazing what a cam and a little head work can do to these small blocks.
make sure you get a new harness too. get that from a camaro to put your computer in stock loc. caprice put it under the air cleaner in the front. caprice computer will be cheaper, thats why.batch fire and sequential harnesses are different.
sounds like it's loading up with fuel and causing you to misfire. is that an oil leak or just super rich exhaust? go with a 94 or 95 computer. get it out of a caprice with the 4.3 v8 or lt1. they switched to sequential (yours uses batch fire) in 94+.in real world, it makes no difference, but it's easier to tune for a cam, which is exactly what it sounds like you need.
