also, if by comparison, the cute characters of higurashi had way more suspense than the anime adaptation of this,if you read the manga, the art is wayyy better, the scenes are a lot more thrilling and it give off that feeling that you want more after reading 1 chapter.. their change just lacks the hmph feeling that it needs, unlike the manga...

well the manga is ACTUALLY BETTER than the anime, it just doesn't give that kind of suspense as in the manga,i reread the manga of the chapters that have become animated and i was like , I thought it was only that i already knew what was going to happen but after rereading it this was actually better. Also the anime changed some scenes for the worse,like with the conversation with Rei when the cyanide gas was released,(read CH13 of the manga)so the manga version turned out better...disappointed

I read the manga awhile back, came upon it by accident when looking for a horror-ish/tragedy. It was really amazing, and I admit I fell in love with it. Plus, I found something oddly cute about crazy-stalkerness.. Haha. But Yeah! Totally recommend this. I'd read the manga first, because it really does make you appreciate the show a lot. @AnimeGuruma as annoyning as it gets, indeed it has some similarities with DN imo, both main characters are kids who gain a common object with some kind of godlike power, unlike Mirai Nikki in DN Light is smart, self confident and somehow chooses from the beginning to "become the next God", also there are other persons in the same situation as them so it turns into some kind of survival game, I guess even the most epic series follow some standards, not a bad thing imo
