  • Life is a joke. At some point we realize that in the end, the joke is on us. So laugh and enjoy the ride because we are far less important as we'd like to believe.

  • i would love to watch a hot girl 24/7 and see her do some hot shite...you know what im talkin about, masturbating, shitting pissing, showers...HOT!

  • Actually on animal masturbation... Animals not only can but DO masturbate.

Some with hands use their hands (apes, but also creatures like raccoons can do this!), some use their flexible spines to lick themselves (like cats and dogs). Others grind against objects (like dolphins or some grazing herbivores.)

So masturbation is not a unique human or even a unique primate trait. Although actually alot of human traits are not so much 'unique' as 'extended'.

  • @TheSkunkCat

I think when thinking of humans in nature, you got to realize that we might currently be the only surviving species of human, but there where once different species of human, sometimes at the same time. And some where more primitive. If we still had austrolopithecines, I think the seemingly huge gap between human and animal would be quickly revealed to be mostly illusory. It's just that the species between a chimp and a human in cognitive ability are extinct.

  • @TheSkunkCat

So take human thinking. People who owned alot of pets, particularly cats, dogs or birds. Will notice that these pets don't act exactly the same. Some are cleverer and figure out things on their own and solve problems. Nothing to complex, but they can still do it. Then take a monkey and they can do all of that a bit better. Then take an ape and they do it a bit better still. Then take an australopith and they'd be between that and human. Human thought is improved animal thought.

  • ...the truth according to a man who is afraid of fresh air.

  • i've thought of this many times, religion, and theism in general, is mental slavery in the highest degree

  • "God" is Big Brother. Just like in the Book "1984". Welcome to his New World Order.

  • My theory is when we are born, completely helpless - we CRY OUT when were scared, hungry, bored, shit ourselves,in pain, wanna play etc etc...

What in turn happens or happened from that cry out? A Large being came and saved us (a parent) it knew exactly what we wanted needed comforted us - THAT IS Solely what fuels the 1 god idea - Monotheism is an 'abstracted' rationalization from infant memories - very real too - but not a god - you can say literally, that God is a parents love for a child

  • great critical thinking!

  • You will realize that whilst this is a necessary and useful practice, you cannot find anything by this searching, that what you need is to only be, willing.

When you are willing, God will reveal himself. The fun starts when you realize that God is actually nothing (that you would be capable of imagining or conceptualising) ,that he does not exist - in your mind.

  • @satsumamoon

    bullshit.

  • How do you look for something without any idea of what it is that you are looking for?

Look inside with an open mind, one that is looking for something completely unknown, something new.

  • Wow, you don't understand this stuff at all, do you?

  • creep

  • Thanks man. I had never even thought about that before: people who don't quite believe need the reassurance of other "believers" in order to believe themselves. It makes total sense. I had always wondered what Christian people's motivation was to try to "save" people. This piece was very nicely put together. I enjoyed it.

  • Who needs manual dexterity, dogs can lick themselves!

  • Is that a spliff, or just a massive rollie?

  • Phil, you just make too much sense.

  • In a way, what you describe here about god, curiously makes me think of, 'It's a Good Life'. The short story, and the Twilight Zone episode based on it.

  • Your voice is sexy

  • They do believe it, but they *turn off* that belief when it's convenient. They 'forget' that god is watching at times, just like we 'forget' the starving people in the world when we indulge in food. Compartmentalisation is so easy.

  • This is probably a stupid question but is it possible to get an erection without lust?

  • @ChariotOfFaith yes.

  • @ChariotOfFaith Technically, it is possible. You may think of something as wierd, but something clicks in your subconscious that yells "I'd tap that..."

  • all this talk about masterbation... hold on, i've got to go get my species out to another earth like planet! :D

  • I completely agree with you on this. I have thought quite a bit along these lines and reached more or less the same conclusion. The problem is exacerbated by a several other points:

    A) A lack of critical thinking skills & deriving an Is from an aught.

    B) Wishful thinking & emotional Motives

    C) False dichotomization & banishing of relative probability or contingency

    D) Circular reasoning

    E) Belief as complete certainty

    F) Need for an explanation for everything

    G) Faith as a surrogate for reason

  • i'd have to disagree, i think they really do believe it. maybe they don't think too hard about it, but they believe it. why else would they devote much of their time and money to religion and their church or mosque? and speaking of masturbating, why would they abstain from most sexual activities and stuff like that? and anyways, isn't it pretty annoying when a religious person comes up to you and says "i think you really do believe in god, deep down"? you're kind of doing the same thing.

  • Do yourself a favor and don't think too much. Its just your own subjective opinion. If you want to know how people feel, do a survery. People are different in nature, there are good and bad, the normal, the psychos, what one person would say yay, another would say ah no.

  • Do yourself a favor and don't think too much. Its just your own subjective opinion. If you want to know how people feel, do a survery. People are different in nature, there are good and bad, the normal, the psychos, what one person would say yay, another would say ah no.

  • Wonder how many priests would be caught hanging out the back of alter boys if they really did believe.

  • To paraphrase..."How DOES A Believer Get An Erection with God watching?"

Perhaps believers are closet porn stars? Closet exhibitionists?

  • If you were G-d, everyone that you wanted to know you...would know you. Your questions are easily answered. Humility is a garment worn by the soul. The expression of anger is not a sin. Remember christ in the temple with a whip? Study, study. Learn why Christ referred to the syro-phonician woman as a dog. The G-d of the bible is nothing like you describe.'So little sexual expression'? You assume way too much. I recommend that you masturbate less and study more. Peace

  • Joint or smoking a toothpick? ^_^

  • @blossomsbounty slim cigarette lol

  • Yup. SHAME, GUILT and FEAR. Those are the toolkit of the pernicoius, debilitating social disease called religion.

It's absurd that in this internet age of information the world is still overflowing with people who believe the paranoid superstitions of the pre-scientific ancients, despite the countless inherent absurdities that people like philhellenes are so good at illuminating.

  • The thought of God watching me masturbating makes me horny!

  • they get erections from porn.

  • smokin shit?

  • By thinking of christ, he gives me an erection so i can procreate

  • I subscribed, this video was uniquely refreshing. It's one thing to not grasp concepts like Burden of Evidence and Causality, but the ones you listed are fundamental problems that should be flashing lights to these people in their daily lives. It's kind of depressing..

    Anyway good video.

  • Big God-Brother is watching you, the Eye In The Sky, Google street-view ... Is one paranoid if one is realy stalked? Am I (are you) insane? Do the child- molesting priests go to heaven? Did the pope beat children? If there is only ONE god, wich every monotheistic religion claims, then who´s wrong, who´s right? What´s a "Holy War"- Contradiction in it´s self? Who will go through the pearly-gates: the Islamists or the christian-Fundamentalists? What are we on about?

    ps: I love wanking.

    PEACE

  • Jesus has blessed the marriage. Sex is allowed within the marrage with your wife ofcourse. Church allow this because of the arguments you make. . More of the things you refere are islamic, not Christian. At the end of your life u will pay the taxman via your book of sins. If u commit sins u confess. As a Christian u need to use your head more than your body. Only Jesus can save u. With descretion watch this /watch?v=1HjeyxnvvuQ&feature=related

  • @UBTUNE "As a Christian u need to use your head more than your body."

You'd use your head, you wouldn't be christian...

    Sorry.

  • @Acrimonator At the times of need call to Christ and will help u. U dont have to reply.

  • @UBTUNE what help are you talking about ? I don't need fairy tales to face my own mortality, thanks...

  • @Acrimonator Your own immortality...its all up to you. Jesus when was about to make a miracle He always asked.."...do want to be healed?". so now its all up to you. /watch?v=I4syi9RjL9w&feature=related

  • @UBTUNE So, if I condone you making love to your wife, does that mean you would not be bothered by me staring at you whilst making love even if I had no emotional response to what I was seeing?

  • that cigarette looks good.

  • I even had it in my head for a while that maybe it was OK to _start_ masturbatng and it woukld be OK with God as long as I didn't come. Yeah, that worked--NOT. Same with swearing. That meant several more prayers for forgiveness right there.

I am so FUCKING glad those days are gone. How I could have believed in the Great Voyeur in the Sky for so long with no evidence (like the big G, or better yet, a giant cross orbiting the earth like Carl Sagan suggested in Contact), I still can't figure

  • I can't speak for all Christians, but let me tell ya Phil, when I was a christian _I_ certainly believed it. It was actually worse than your 24-hour camera analogy because God was in my head; even my _thoughts_ were subject to his scrutiny. Fortunately, the Bible said God was forgiving, so I prayed for forgiveness. A _lot_. I was a teen when I first became a Christian, so yeah, the masturbation thing was awful, as I was letting God down two or three times a day just by doing that.

  • God knows everything, God is always watching but not always with his eyes. Nevermind it's hard to fricking explain.

  • A TV program I saw showed the owners of a pedigree racehorse helping it fertilise a filly. They owned the horses.

    .

    God owns us.

    .

If you think sex is "DIRTY", then the dirtier the better: in the dark, in dirty smelly surroundings, with drugs, with several people, with violence and foul language... and it gets MUCH WORSE!

    .

If you believe sex is good - a gift from god, then you want things clean, light, bright, gentle and happy, and there is NO SHAME.

    .

May God help you grow up.

  • Here in Norway, when we where told about religion and the Christian god in our primary school school, being a very nonreligious nation, the first thing we as kids (around 8 years old) laughed at a lot was the idea that God watching every aspect of our lives, then he would surely also watch us taking a shit in the toilet. In Scandinavia where religion is very weak all-together, kids dispel the effect of religious propaganda instantaneously with ease.

  • I believe the most important question here is, what in the world is that you are smoking? Miniature cigarette?

  • fuck up

  • This video gives me an erection; what a beautiful man you are.

  • When I was a Christian, I tried to think like that & it was unbearable (the idea of being watched 24-hours-a-day) so I blocked the thought out of my mind.

  • the answer is easy, god evidently likes to watch porn :) "be fruitful and multiply"

"and so he ogled and salivated excited as they got to know each other"

    they missed that line out....

  • I like the way he can't get through even one sentence without taking a drag...

  • "If Jesus were here now, the one thing he would not be--a Christian." -Mark Twian

  • @jwils924 Jesus could NEVER b a Christian as He is the founder of Christianity!!! Jesus DOESN'T follow Himself!!!

  • @The3in1trinity Umm, he actually means he wouldn't be a narrow-minded, bigot, war monger. Plus Jesus never had a church or asked anyone to start one.

  • Very interesting thoughts. Good points.

  • this was fantastic: both amusing and thought provoking

  • You also said "beating your bishop." Your argument is twice as valid.

  • You smoke skinny cigarettes and have a British accent. Therefore, your argument is valid.

  • some people are born with psychosis, im not 100% on th spelling. and they have no remorse, no guilt, they have no feeling for killing, raping, murdering torturing, ect. they arent sent to jail, or executed, because they dont understand right from wrong. that brings up another point but what would god do? they broke commandments and the reson for cammandments were for people who didnt know right from wrong/

  • and to clarify some confusion also, or at least thats what i was told. but the other point i referred to was that we arent born moral. and the mentally impaired and those with insanity completely prove that wrong. God apparently made you to be who you are, why would he do that. the reason is he doesnt. im not exactly sure how people develope it, something with a certain part of the brain, but it isnt god.

  • @StaulkHolm there are many things that build up to morality, and if morality came from a god, I would be a murderous slobbering crazy person. First of all is altruism (the golden rule, etc, do for others what you want them to do for you) which goes without saying when you have thinking people, if you look at sociopaths this is broken in them, which leads them to do whatever they can to get things for themselves, with no concern for others.

  • @aqwiz in my opinion the rest is all learned behavior and societal concerns. (not wanting to be imprisoned, killed, castrated, socially outcast, etc) when it was socially acceptable to have brides as young as 12, it was done. when it was socially acceptable to have slaves, it was done (and the christians were usually the ones doing the slave-driving more often than not) there is no set quality of morality, it's a system, and we are not endowed with it by any creator, lest that creator be society

  • they had the commandments and they chose not to follow them, it doesnt matter the reason. is that what god would do? and on a lighter note WWJD? Jesus would judge and condemn with the "Father." god if you are reading this Smite me down, you hypocritical fucking prick excuse of a god. theres also thunder outside my house, i fuckin dare you to try it.

  • @StaulkHolm Honestly do think that this is right. Do not beleive this Jesus is the saviour and he will return one day!

  • @habs4ever101 wow, you are doing exactly what the vid poster said christians do, trying to persuade yourself at other people. Do you honestly believe that you are going to convince someone that there is a god when they believe in none?

  • it keeps people under "control"

  • you sound smart but you are smoking a cig which means you are stupid. they simply kill you

  • "Beating the bishop" rofl. Never heard that one. In the US we have beat the monkey.

  • @fluentinsound

In other words, something they practice out of fear of being alienated from the community.

Faith is fear. Faith Is Facism

  • for most religious people, their religion is not something they believe, its a fashion accessory, or an obligation to their family.

  • I'd like to add, that it's also an intellectual posture for those with nothing to argue about... A subject they can always be right about...

  • Big brother does it.

  • This video opened my eyes on some thing...

  • Good idea for the video, indeed.

  • 0:50 lol big brother

  • I'm going to have to go ahead and point out that there are probably some exhibitionist type christians who get a bit of a thrill out of thinking of invisible beings watching them get it on. Sorry if it's wierd, but I am absolutely certain of this.

  • I believe you're Napoleon if it makes you feel better.

    It makes me feel better.

  • You're right about the effects of self stimulation. O.o!

  • hmm i would prefer three cheerleaders beating my bishop

  • um...im going with i wouldnt like it...

  • what is that ur smoking

  • I would say some good old weed ;) since he has to light it up every time he dosent puff puff

  • Man you are good . very good question which i never thought of.

  • LoL

    Beating your Bishop.

Going to have to steal your phrase Phil.

  • What you're talking about is what Daniel Dennett calls 'belief in belief'.

  • lol maybe if they pictured god as a creepy old pedophile watching them in there sleep they wouldn't be so sure of themselves.

  • haha funny

  • The point you make is really that Christians do NOT really believe in god! How can they believe some being watches them 24/7 - even during sex? They may just turn off/on parts they want when they want so while they have sex, there is no god or Jesus. Even more delusion heaped upon delusion. :)

  • I know about 10 million people are going to think im so narrow minded for this comment, but im entitled to my own opinion!

  • This man is actually very intelligent, i respect him for his thoughts, because yes he's very very right!! in my opinion religion is just there to pickle peoples lives.. i say just let people live there life how they want to !!

  • your coming off. very creepy!

  • This reminds me of when I was still a Christain. I used to get embarrased and get dreesed quickly when I was nude by myself because of the thought of god watching me. & When I was just discovering my bisexuality and I was trying not think about my sexual fantasies which just drove me crazy because I thought god was also reading my thoughts. This was when I was a child and a preteen! I took the Bible & believed in god watching me more seriously than any other Christain yet I turned out Atheist.

  • In my 24hr surveillance you would note that I enjoy sleeping. I am not lazy, but I enjoy nap time very much. I am incredible trusted by many people. You would most likely point out that I enjoy masterbation, porn (less than in my childhood), love making and I am not ashamed of this. You would find out that a "stoner" is not what she is thought to be...I am a hard worker, a lover, a friend, and totally governed by myself and that I am short. I wouldn't like surveillance regardless of religion.

  • Me being a christian have to say, thats a good question to ask.

But just as we humans, watch animals, pee, masturbate, have sex{yes we do, its even on tv} not saying all of us do, but we dont watch them for sexual reasons do we, no we dont. So if he is watching us do are do, i doubt he is getting enjoyment out of it. Also if i saw a big G in the sky i'd act the same way i do now.

  • that is a damn good point that i never thought of! Yeah I considered how unfair and downright immoral of God it is, to condemn people to an infinite sentence of unimaginable torture for a harmless personal belief - a thought-crime. And that its was totally illogical, if he was the God of the theists, not to make himself known...But I never put the two together...God really is obliged to make it obvious to all regarding his existence. Immorality though inaction...not that i believe he exists mind

  • god sounds like a pervert

  • A very insightful video and I've come to agree with you about them not really believing it. I think to put it another way it's a kind of self-hypnosis that they're in where religion is concerned.

  • They could all be exhibitionists... hm-HMMM!

  • Masturbation may have gotten us to the moon... that quote made my day...!

  • phil, I had to stop this at around 5:15 to post this comment: That's the first mention of that hypothesis i've heard, and I'm whacking myself for not thinking of it before you did. Oops, I meant "kicking myself." Brilliant! Surely there's been a paper on this, or there will be soon - "Opposable thumbs as a result of sexual frustration in higher primates...." Of course, that would also give the male of the species a bit of extra evolutionary credit, eh? Also might help explain....

  • one-to-one pairing/mating behavior replacing alpha male dominance, perhaps? (less risk taking, leading to less selective pressure, etc, ???)

  • Really great video with amazing points and humor, yet I do dislike the title; it provokes some distasteful related videos.

  • is that a joint?

  • Assuming this is correct, why the hell would he care? Isnt there more pressing things to worry about than some guy humping his friends girl friend?

  • pass that skinny over here!

  • j/k, jesusallahbuddah is watching ;)

  • Phil are you God?

  • Cheers for explaining the sarcasm by saying "just kidding". If they said "just kidding" after every joke in Friends it would be a lot less fucking confusing!

  • Idk wut u just said but amen!

  • additionally, it seems most of you missed the point of the video entirely. The point he's making is that you DON'T actually believe either in God's Omnipotence and/or potential judgement from his observance with yoru daily sinful experience, regardless of how minor.

  • since God is ALL KNOWING. I find it sort of pervse that he would create us as flawed as we are, KNOWING that he would condemn us to hell for it. What the fuck is that?

  • Someone looking for an excuse to burn people?

    ;)

  • @philhellenes If I was all-powerful and all-knowing, I'd create life just to make it suffer.

    All hail chtulhu!

  • @philhellenes This has always been my problem with Christianity. If God is knowing of all and so loving then why create us with so much emotions and feelings just to let us suffer eternaly. Seems like such a cruel God.

  • that makes it so anyone "sinning" is a product of free will, yet when something good happens, God stepped in and it was a miracle

you cant ever debate a fundy on why bad shit happens to good people

  • @xsirpezx I completely agree.

  • Your so damn smart, you make such fucking brilliant points!!!

  • If they were watched from infancy, they wouldn't know anything different, so they wouldn't care. If they suddenly started being watched at like 13, it would probably bother them.

When you're comparing it to religion, the analogy would have to be the first scenerio, since that's when most people are taught about God.

  • I'd like to hear you say that in front of God.

    Oh, you just did!

Or maybe you don't believe in Him either and you don't like reminding. Relax. Have a nice wank. You need to masturbate more often.

  • This is something I hate about youtube comments - the 'thumbs down' thing, I dont know how many it takes, but with enough it eventually means the comment stops bein viewable

Whilst I can see this as bein helpful occasionally, I don't think a days goes by were I dont want to know what has been said somewhere.

Twisted thing is, I end up doin it too...

Start the campaign to get rid of the deletion!

  • hmm maybe id enjoy love making more! lol jokes

  • this is a very strong point you made... good work.

  • great video

  • The camera thing isn't even enough for the example you are giving. "God's" prevasivness gose even further! It's not just visual. He's in your head even!!

  • Are you smoking a joint, man? It certainly looks like that. :-D

  • they don't think about it all the time. thats how it works for them. convincing others to make yourself believe is rubbish, you can't make others believe if you're not confident enough to believe it yourself already.

  • That's bollocks, it's not hard to make people believe you tit, especially when they're children and they're yours. It doesn't take no confidence bullshit.

  • The only difference between absolutist states and God is power: God is supposed to be infinitely more powerful and capable of oppression. Somehow, that makes it all better.

In any other case, power makes cruelty worse. 1984's Big Brother is much more evil than the USSR, because it is so much more powerful. The more powerful a regime, the more cruel, without fail, up until that point of omnipotence.

Imagine not just cameras in your bedroom and bathroom, but X-ray cameras, because "God sees all"!

  • Or maybe we're all exhibitionists at heart.

  • Hmm...I dont know about that Phil. I used to be christian (bleurgghh!!!) and I used to feel comfort in knowing god is watching over me. Especially when going into dark places when I was younger.

  • we aint supposed to dress to impress

we aint supposed to eat loads of food

    we aint supposed to masturbate

read on uslam my friend, instead of making your own veiws

  • Why not masturbate?

  • haha oh that makes sense...because I'll get punished for it. when "god" gave me hands and a penis? plus....if u do it in your own privacy how the !@#$ are u sinning?

  • "It's a sin."

You aren't answering the question. *Why* is it a sin?

  • lol yea thats common sense alright XD

So when someone says something its common sense to believe it..got it lol

  • Sorry you are incorrect! Masturbation is not a sin! In fact....there is no such thing as sin =)

  • uslam, well that's a new religion...

You beleve in the same invisible force as all others?

  • Okay interesting question:

Awnser: A believer gets an erection usually while seeing an attractive person of the opposite sex I dont know how is for atheists however.

God is watching us basically it means God is watching us during the important times of our life like if you steal or if you help others. Watching in the bathroom okay I think he has better stuff to do like watch American Idol. Never take the bible literally it was translated over 2 dozen times use common sense and make a good view

  • Actually this is already the case becasue of the division of the ego. There is always a part of the self watching.

Interestingly, St. Augustine would have probably approved of Viagra, because his main complaint about erections were that they did not seem to be volitional.

  • Not the only kind of bishop i'd like to bash.

  • "Three cheers for beating your bishop."

Stop cheering plz, you're putting me off... :P

  • I think you're right that most purported believers don't really believe the bullshit they spew. I also think many people try to convince others for the reason you say - to reinforce their own weak belief. But I also wonder if it is a power thing - if I covince you of P based on reasoning and evidence, big deal. But if I can get you to believe P against reason and evidence, I've really done something - really exercised power over you.

  • Masturbation gets me to the moon. Every time.

  • this example of the camera perfectly describes how i felt as a christian...and, yes, it was traumatizing

  • God doesn't care about our natural habits like going to the bathroom, changing... Why would I care about a God who could see me? It's not like that. And about getting an erection-it all depends on why I'm getting an erection. Looking at porn, a sin...needing to go to the bathroom, not a sin.

  • uh, dude, you get wood when you need to go to the bathroom?!?!?

  • He likes scat play and golden showers.

  • "God doesn't care about our natural habits like going to the bathroom, changing..."

How do you know what the supernatural being of your story book does or doesn't care about? You can't even establish evidence of such a being's existence, to say nothing about what this deity wants, doesn't want, cares about, or doesn't care about. You shouldn't make claims like that... It just makes you look like an idiot.

  • ok this one is genius but if you call americans creationists again i will find you hahaha no really :|

  • Phil, Phil, Phil...you're making the assumption here that people will only do the "right" thing if they know they will be caught when doing the "wrong" thing. Where's your faith in human goodness? If you really love each other then why would it matter if you're being watched? I don't think it would.

I posted a couple more vids - check them out sometime.

  • I will Brian.

As for my assumption: it seems reasonable. God is supposed to be omnipresent. Perhaps, when it suits you, you don't consider this because you don't believe it, which kinda proves my point.

Can a "wrong" act be committed WITHOUT God's knowledge? Not according to The Bible. Even your thoughts are supposed to be under 24/7 observation. On what basis do you disregard this part of scripture?

  • OK then the assumption is people conveniently disregard parts of their faith to still do whatever they want. I try not to disregard any parts of my faith, that's not to say I'm perfect, but as I mentioned in my last vid why discount God based on the failures of people? Also I don't think God expects us to be everything to everyone all the time, only He can do that. We just need to do our part when the opportunity presents itself, when He calls us to action.

  • While I tend to agree with your general direction, in terms of personal excesses and the proportion of how you help in this world, I do know God wants us to be happy, I don't think He has a requirement for poverty, but He does have a requirement to not put material things and wealth before him. If you keep things in this perspective and give your fair share and honestly seek Him to transform your heart to love Him and all others them you're probably OK in His eyes.

  • On the other hand if you can't enjoy a good meal because all you can think about is the hungry, then maybe that's your calling to do more. Just so you know how this looks in my faith, I support 2 under-priviliged kids & I provide 100 meals a month at a local food pantry - I figure I'm gonna eat 100 meals, so someone else should too.

I think you raise good questions for people to consider, but again we're not perfect so don't limit God on the shortcomings of people.

    Keep the questions coming!
