  • GHOST JAPAN, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, HAHAHAHAHA

  • the japenese have a natural talent with horror, THEY started the black haired hospital gown girl phenomenon, and THEY also created the "glitch walk"

  • that baby was soo cute hehehehhehehe....!

  • Anyone here read the book?

  • Japanese horror movies scare the living shit outta me

  • Asian cliched, pathetic excuses for horror movies with pale girls with long dark hair over their faces are utter crap!!!! I have NOTHING against Asia, but their moronic, badly acted horrors SUCK ASS!!!!! AMERICAN REMAKES RUUUULEEE!!!!!!!!!!

  • @666cl53 We hate american stereotypical movies... they put ton of blood and cries to scare. Japanese are just too subtle for you little american brain.

  • @foncleaa You're confusing subtlety with dragging out... As I said - AMERICAN REMAKES RULE!!!!!!! :D

  • @666cl53 you my friend are so wrong or you have never seen an actual japanese horror film

  • @marfalove I've seen a lot of Japanese horrors, and it's really beyond me why so many people like them so much...

  • @666cl53 nub. you mean "they're moronic?" you love america so much yet you can't type for shit. go back to school toddler and learn something instead of talking down to movies you don't understand. anyway i bet you watched a bunch of trailers and decided to talk crap. go worship satan 666 loser. mind your business.

  • American horrors are scary only if there's needles amount of blood, the japanese just know how to scare ppl without showing the insides of a person...

  • About a year ago I started watching anime and Asian movies and i realized, that the scariest American horror movies, without all the needless blood, are remakes of Asian films.......

  • I am a fan of the japanese version the ring

...it didn't scare me like a curse but I really the story and its plot....watch it every time and I still love it

  • i have always been quite cool about horror movies. i watched this movie for the first time at an age of 13, but something about this film scared the fucking living crap out of me. today i'm 20 and i can't even watch the trailer cause im still so fucking scared of this movie!!

  • the factors why american movies fail at remaking j-horror films: 1. culture clash-the traditional and morose side of japanese culture adds gravity and believability including the deep folk mythology while the liberated, bohemian side of Am culture alienates d story. japnese has an angry ghost myth americans a good wd aliens, monsters, killers and all that, conected to science n urbanized society.

  • Japanese Horror movies 1

    American Horror Movies 0

  • where do we watch the japanese horror movies :3

  • dOn't lOOk at the O :O!

  • i think american version better. ;D

  • holy shiet this isnt scary

    im beast.

  • At least it ent as worst as the grudge 1 or 2 lol or the ring 1 or 2 lol :p

  • Is this orginal version better than americans ring or grudge??

  • @VilHoMANN All original Japanese horror movies are 10x scarier. That's not a opinion, it's a fact.

  • Horror movies from Asian countries are soooo much scarier than the amarican!!

  • I read the manga.

  • @pokemonkiller20 Can you tell me where, i would like to read it too?

  • @sadstonereaperneko I just took it from my schools library. Maybe, if you go to your nearest library, you will find it.

  • american movies is just like mexican soap operas they are ALL remakes of other movies/soap operas from other countries!

  • Comment removed

  • japanese people have good IDEAS for scary movies but that doesnt mean they make the movie good i like the american version better its scarier

  • best - horror movie - ever!

(with the possible exception of Ringu 0 - Birthday) <3

  • I dont get why people keep saying the japanese version s better I saw both versions and both are pretty much identical in almost all aspects =/

  • We are watching this in my Japanese class right now!!

I LOOOOVE it! Its so scary!

  • the japanese know how to make things creepy

and the americans know how to make perfectly creepy japanese movies cheesy

  • the americans killed this movie, the only time the remake scared me was when the phone rang when it went into credits, but the orginal really frightened me, the japanese seem to have a 6th sense in how to actually scare people same with the spanish they can also make awesome scary movies

  • bit at the end look like the ring 2 amarican verson

  • The japanese just know how to create a very scary horror film, their imaginations are very warped. This version of the ring is in my very own top 5 most frightening films ever made.SCARY STUFF!

  • american horror movies are often scary too, but the japanese horror films are screamers!

I watched JuOn first and i was scared sh**less, but the Grudge wasn't that scary. This movie looks great compeared to the american one.

Japanese people really know what horror is! :D

  • the american version is okay scary wise but i liturally cried of fear when i watched the japanese version...

why is it that japanese scary movie's are so much more scarier???

i also watched ju-on the other week(the grudge) and holy god i am not watching that again !

  • @03Itsofficial03 I've also seen Ju-On, its sequel and the tv-versions of it, even several times. I think they're very creepy too and actually I don't know why I've watched them so many times though they've even caused me nightmares... Maybe I just shouldn't watch them anymore? :/ The japanese Ring is good too but I think it's not so terribly scary.

  • Poor trailer. I saw the Ringu-Triology and all of them made my skin crawl away in pure horror.

  • the japanese ring? :)

  • the trailer isnt scary xD i didnt see the movie but..i dunno xD

  • Ring..u lol

  • 私はこの映画の愛、それはたいしたものだ。

  • Gore mostly scares me, but this is scary ono

  • is ringu the japanese version of the ring and also wots scarier the japanese version of the ring or the american remake heard the japaese r meant to be masters of horror

  • yeah its the original version of the Ring, in my opinion the japanese one is hella scarier. And yeah the Japanese are masters of Horror movies, I suggest Dark Water, Scent and Ju-on (Japanese origianl of the grudge) after seeing these i didnt take a bath or a shower for a while and i slept with the light on on my lounge without any sheets for like 2 weeks. But im a scardey cat highly suggest these movies since they dont rely on blood and gore to scare you.

  • The Japanese version by far.The american remake is pathetic

  • My sister saw a trailer to an asian horror film that was to be shown on film four. She said it involved some dude being stalked by a guy in a hoodie with a creepy face which she said was so scary she ran out of the room lol. I've been trying to find out what movie she was on about but whilst i'm a huge horror fan i'm not really clued up with Asian Horror. If anybody knows the movie im talking about could they PM me? Thanks :)

  • i couldnt tell you by wots in the film cause i havnt seen much asian horror but the onyl asian horror iv heard about thats meant to be on film four is dumplings

  • this one and Kairo were my best Horror movie EVER , oh and Noroi as the scariest horror movie I've ever seen .

    :)

horror movies today are just trying to scare us with jump scares , gore , and some maniacs killing people around .

  • exactly

  • American horo consists of lots of blood and people with long hair popping up from around the corner.

Japanese/Thai horror consists of images that stay in your mind for weeks and make you scared to answer the phone.

  • que mello aaaa

  • much better than the american version

    ringu really scared me

  • so true the remake (the ring) did not scar me when i seen the original (ringu) i covered my eyes

  • i love scary movies.. & ringu was the one that taught me a lesson! the only movie that scared me! nothing compares so far... for me that is...

  • they say this movie is the most horror movie of all time, the second is suspiria, and the third was the original halloween..

  • i think u've have forgot the classics!!

  • @ PalpoPalpatine: Absolutely true.

  • the ring never scared me japanise or american version.

  • i watch ringu and ju-on awesome movies lolz...i was scared shit less...

  • The grudge is a scary one!!

but this one whooo thje schock of my life

  • I was watching this film by myself, and when it shows you the video tape, straight after it finised, my phone started ringing. I was so scared. And i never did pick up the phone.

  • my boyfriend prank his sister after she finished watchin ringu haha she almost shit her pants!

  • LOL ;D

  • this movie is ALOT better than the American one.

  • That's good..."The Ring" never even scared me...

  • thats because japanese horror is like psycological. american horror is just stuff popping out at you with a bunch of effects..a 2 year old can pop out at you, but it takes skill to make good psycological horror like the japanese do

  • Yep. yep.. So true

  • american horrors used to be psycological, like the shining, psycho, and the exorcist, but now they're just crap.

  • i know... they really need to get better people with far more sadistic minds involved in movie plots.. lol

  • In case you guys didnt know this was originally a book written by koji suzuki. you should read the book before you watch the movie because the book is amazing, way better than the movie.

  • I agree. The book is much better than the movie. Unfortunately I saw the movie before I read the book.

  • What is the book named?

  • Ring

  • Thank you.

  • i haven't seen ringu yet ut i've read the book. i didn't find as scary as i'd expectated it to be but it's still awesome.

  • is this scaryer than american version.

  • It probably would be if watching japanese people getting scared wasn't so freakin' hilarious

  • lol if that happends me i will go to somewere with much friend and never leave them annymore, cause you know they only hunt you down when ur alone ;)

  • if they wanna hunt you, they can totally hunt you whatever you do.

  • I need to analyze this -_-

  • oh my gosh it scares the crap out of me too!

  • if they crawl down the stairs or out of the tv that scarys me you dont even know how much it scares me

  • the japinese make kool scary movies

  • @coolwierdperson98

japanese dude.... japanese .... but I totally agree with you dude.. Ju-On still hunts me on my sleepy nights though I have watched it over 6 years ago..

  • i saw ringu when i was ten

  • BAD BAD choice

  • Sadako is the scariest movie character I've ever seen in my life. I love the way she doesn't have to be bloody or have a monstrous face...

  • I rly wanna watch this movie :)

  • Whats more Scarier?

    The Ring or The Grudge?

    xD

  • im gonna have to say theye even

  • yup. same

  • You're right they're both scary in their own way

  • The Ring no contest

  • The Grudge only Ju-On the Japanese version thats scary!

  • The grudge - juon is so much scarier then this

  • third part is the scariest XD owo when Sadako looks directly at the face of the main... owo SCARY!!! X3

  • Pretty much. :P

  • Um..I normally don't step in on this sort of thing but Zangha has nothing to do with Ring. Not to mention Hideo had nothing to do with it until the film. The novel written by Koji Suzuki came first and even then, the story deals more with the concept of nensha or burning psychic images and all that.

The only similarity is the phone call and the seven days time limit. That's it.

  • okay. thank you for informing!

  • how can u say that? what are your proofs?

  • umm, the ring is japanese...

  • I'm just kiding

  • hey kiddie!! ^v^ you killed me last night, Remember?? owo

  • the japenese have not much censorship..thats why their movies are out of this world!

  • I love to see the jaapnese version of these film. Japan is so cool!!!..

  • am watchin the original, tht luks wel scary!!

  • cool

  • wow
