  • probably their best for me.....circus games, dollar, charade, yes they were of their post punk time but still....thanks Jobbo, Will and Stu (rip)

  • I love the aboriginal sound, very raw, very good!

  • Nice one Mr Hills - pure dead fucking brilliant!

  • He is now ha ha!!

    50 that is.

  • Er no he isn't he's 47.

  • I stand corrected....cheers!!

  • Love this song. So glad I got the chance to see them at last a few months ago.

  • Phones, saints and dictionaries!!! Richard Jobson didn't seem a 20 year old guy (he seems like a 30-40-50 year old man)!!.

  • or another artist related one-Into the Dali.....sorry

  • sunarise early in the morning.....Rolf Jobson....

  • Come on people forgive Jobbo for the getup, the song is fantastic: best on the album!

  • Great song, but WTF is Jobson wearing? He looks like a refugee from a pulp sci-fi film.

  • Goodness gracious me! Ah-ah- ah- Jingle jangle boys and girls!

  • I wrote to Jim'll fix it asking Saville if I could direct a video (of Jacobite soldiers marching) to this. Jim didn't fix it.

  • I loved The Skids and thought the first version of the Days In Europa album (the more BeBopDeluxe sounding) was their best stuff. Great band.

  • My favourite track from "the absolute game", and this is a great live version from jan/feb 1981.Doesn't jobbo look 'distinguished' with his glacier sunglasses.lol...this song should have been release as a single!!

  • he looks like bowie there am 19 and i like them, is not fair u all saw them but me cuz there is no skids anymore!!!

  • i saw the skids at huddersfield poly 1980 what a band

  • I loved The Skids first gig I saw as a 13 year old and I was hooked, I think The Absolute Game was their best album 'Woman in Winter' was my favourite track.

I have a confession to make I wrote into Noel Edmonds on Multi-Coloured Swap Shop complaining that they never played any Scottish bands on the show and dared them to have The Skids on the show - they duly obiliged and showed two numbers 'Circus Games' and 'Woman in Winter' - my claim to fame !!

    Thanks for posting this

  • das hab' ich damals hunderte mal hintereinander gehört und ich krieg heute noch Gänsehaut!!

  • Me too. (Danke)

  • Absolutely one of the best Skids songs and a great live version. I loved this band and could never see them live, this helps. Thank you so much for posting this for us old geezer Skids hardcores!

  • I saw the Skids 4 times and grabbed Stuart's hand during an encore 'All the young dudes' at the Manchester Apollo. They were superb and seeing all these clips years later makes me feel so sad at Stuart's passing. What a shame no-one could get to him and stop him.

  • I recorded this track on a Betamax tape (!) at the time and haven't seen it for quite a few years so it's like revisiting an old friend. Easily the best track on The Absolute Game.

Now will some kind person please share footage of the Skids performances on 'Something Else', 'Rock Goes To College' and the earlier 'OGWT'?

  • dont hold your breath mate, sucks but probably true

  • Feckin' brilliant. I hope these guys get some deserved recognition from the Green Day/U2 collaboration

  • THANK YOU!! ONe of my favorite Skids song. That guitar break in the middle, with the "Heys" always gives me chills. Classic Stuart Adamson!!!

  • Welcome, mine too, and me too! Cheers.
