  • these comments are unintentionally hilarious.

  • @iammagyar. The DX7 MK2 leaves them all for dead. It has more sonic power than them all put together. Doesnt go out of tune if you look sideways at it. And you dont have to save for 5 years to get it.

  • Drool Drool Drool Drool!!!! :p

  • the same synth used by the "Human League" and "Kajagoogoo"!

  • the holy trinity: roland tr-808 jupiter 8 juno 60.

im on the fence as to whether thats the trinity or if the tb-303 surpasses the juno in epicness xD

  • Oh my god, I want one of these right now. I have the Juno-60, which will always be my first love, but I have been fascinated by the Jupiter-8 for some time now.

  • hey man, would you be willing to produce this into instrumental for me to sing over? it's SO good

  • Absoluetly gobsmacked. "Were not worthy"... man this is good.

  • congrats

  • This sounds a bit like U2. You could work this into a complete a song, other instruments would sound good with it too.

  • There's about 3 or 4 for sale in UK, all in London. The most expensive one is £2,700 the others are less.

  • @Laura041974 The price is slowly dropping since that JP-8's have been resold many times over. Now that the JP-80 is being prepared for release a similar JP-8 price decline will eventually occur in the USA. A lot of the old Jupiters are gradually falling into disrepair with poor cosmetics. Most of the remaining vintage synth restoration business only service electronics.

  • @TomZentra Price decline on JP-8 because of that JP-80 "rompler"? No way in the world. Those prices "Laura" are mentioning I have hard to believe (maybe if they are rusty and looks like hell). I would easily buy 2-3 more of them at those prices...

  • @drifter7508 The JP-80 hasn't been released yet. JP-8 prices have stabled once they hit a high of near $8,000. After the JP-80 is out then watch JP-8 prices fall. It is happened numerous times with other synths and MPCs. As another example, old MiniMoogs had outrageous prices until the Voyager and its derivatives were released. Of course there are always people who want to believe otherwise. They are left with gear they bought when its price was highest.

  • @TomZentra First, JP-80 has NOTHING to do with Jupiter 8 in my eyes. Zip, nada, except "Jupiter" in its name... and Roland wants the public to somewhat believe so.

MPC60 is way more expensive over here than any other newer MPC. MiniMoog Model D is way more expensive than a new Voyager. "Believe otherwise"? I have bought around 30 "vintage machines" over the last 2 years. I def. know very well what sells for what price.

  • @drifter7508 But the difference is your eyes are not Roland's eyes nor the mass market eyes.

So you have inflated prices in Sweden where you live. All this means is you have a small market and inflated prices, not what the rest of the world is experiencing. A used Jupiter 8 may cost $100,000 in Antarctica. But this doesn't mean it will cost that elsewhere.

  • @TomZentra I buy and sell worldwide.... welcome to the future, internet, e-bay and the "global village".

  • @TomZentra

Hey Just letting you know- jumping in here- it doesn't matter about the jp80- and the price of any of this. The JP8 can create sounds the jp80 cannot- and is above any sound making analog machine within a polysynth. you have no idea.

  • @TomZentra I don't need to look now, I bought a Kawai SX240 for £510. It sounds beautiful and isn't as big or expensive as a JP 8. The one I like best is Elka Synthex and I tried to buy one on Gumtree. I think it was a con because he did all the things they warn about, not telling me anything about the synth and asking for Western Union payment. He got angry when I refused to pay although I hadn't agreed to anything and I got threats and abuse through ebay later on which I suspect were from him.

  • @TomZentra

Hey guys, ....Have you ever seen on facebook "Custom synths"???...

Take a look!!...they restore cosmetic issues in all kind of vintage synths, samplers, drum machines....

(I don't work for them, this is just information I think you will appreciate), Cheers.

  • How much is real cheap?

  • @maccagrabme Around 4000 USD.

  • Your very lucky to have found one in good shape and midied ! The sound is unique and fabulous... you'll never have anything better in my opinion

  • id like to see more of the jupiter 8 from you *****

  • Awesome indeed! Congrats!

  • do I hear your linndrum?

  • Yes, you sure do =)

  • I want...... no NEED a JP-8! lol.

    Really, really nice machine fella!

  • Very nice indeed! :)

  • @DIGITALSCREAMS Thx, "the youtube almighty king" of JP-8, Love your videos! = )

  • Wow !!! Nice synth :-) Hope you didn't have to "sacrifice" any of your other synths to buy the JP8 ;-)

Hope to hear some more JP8 soon!!
