Thanks to liberal policy the world economy is crashing. We must do two things to stop the meltdown NOW!!! Firstly, we need to raise all payroll taxes 10% for one year. We also need to stop (right now) wasteful handout programs like medicare, social security, unemployment,, etc. and lower the minimum wage to $2/hr so we can compete with China for jobs. I will work with Boehner, Ryan and my other republican colleagues and take immediate action on these proposals. God bless the GOP!

I just read some wiser articles than the Time article I was ridiculously, persuaded by, for a moment, and no. He's not about to drop dead. Even if he has to run for President, and he's vulnerable to persuasion, isn't he.

Rep. Paul Ryan is right. Pres. Clinton offered this bill in the 90's If this congress doen't pass this bill. American should vote these bums out of office. Stop the Bul* Sh*t an do something now. Also don't raise the dept ceiling unless the Pres. reduce the pay backs to the lobbyist.

Why don't you make an attempt at an adult conversation instead of continually regressing to your rage filled inner child? 3 years in a row your guy has ignored an alarm from the medicare trustees that the trigger indicating that dedicated revenues are insufficient to sustain the system has been reached. Changing to a system comparable to the Federal Employee Health benefits program is a much better alternative.

"Premium Support"...I'm 48 and I think its a great idea. SSI is already raising retirement age, all the experts agree that medicare is paying out more than it will take in, what is it going to take for folks to realize that big govt entitlements alone dont work in the long run.
