Howard Morgen is simply one of BEST! I just love everything he does. He's HUGE influence on me and always has been. If you're really interested in becoming an excellent Chord Melodist on the guitar, studying everything Howard Morgan should be your first stop. He's just amazing! Thanks Howard. :)
Howard! you are one of the biggest inspirations for me to do what I do. Getting your book when I was 18 completely changed the way I thought about playing the guitar. It's so great to hear you playing your amazing arrangements on here! I will do my best to let everyone know about your videos! Best wishes, Daryl Kellie
Howard, I have to thank you for that column you wrote for Guitar Player. I learned so much from it. You arrangement of the Cheers theme is still one of my favorite things to play.
So who do I contact about the issue #71 that never came??? I need my dose of guitaristic humility.....What gives at the magazine anyway? no responses to emails either.....
Howard, you hit all the sweet spots that make that awesome guitar ring true with the sound of excellence. You Sir, are an extraordinary talent. Thanks, and please continue to post.
You're right! All three originally appeared in my columns in Guitar Player magazine around 1990. They were later included in a book of mine which is now out of print called Ten From Guitar Player.
Thank you very much for your comment. Those three arrangements were originally written for Guitar Player magazine back in 1990. I thought they might work well as a medley. They will also appear on my new DVD "September Song" produced by Davis Stillson and myself.
