I watched that movie, terribly sad. But a good movie, the events and actions make sense and the plot seems natural, not contrived (okay, except maybe for the unavoidable love story which is sweet if cliched): I really, really detest some characters but I can understand how they got to be like that. Rachel actually looks prettier in that dress at 3:00 than in the "fresh from St Louis" one.

@SuniDays87 Unfortunately just about all movies represent one extreme or the other. Either they are evil savages or they are innocent gentle Utopians. Neither is true, but movies never seem to show them as REAL people with both virtues and faults; communities with some good people and some bad people as is the case in any culture.

The Last of the Mohicans is one of the few that does show a balanced view. It is very different from the book and more historically accurate to the time.
