I loved this break. It used to be on Ramey AFB. I was stationed at Ramey from 1969 to 1973. It used to be illegal to surf at Wilderness. I was President of the Surf Club on base, and after getting a ticket for surfing there illegally, I went to the Base Commander and talked him into opening it up for surfing. With the advent of leases, a lot more folks started surfing there. The rest is history. Best days of my life were there. Caught it huge many times with just a few folks out.
