Hi Jaimie and Dashania! I just wanted to let you both know that I love you. I guess I could write other junk here but I know you both will understand that nothing else is needed! Keep living your lives. It gives me hope =)
so im confused, you built a tree-house, which was initially going to be your shop, but it ended up being your house. The dome, which was going to be your house, ended being a well house. This left you in need of a workshop, so you built your banana building for a workshop. Lol is that right?
uhh... sort of.... but not really. I got the banana building unexpectedly, and figured it would be better workshop than the tower. The tower is unfinished. I built the big dome first.
wow, looks like almost ready to land on the moon :) when you do more welding be sure to just use lots of fans, my dad was a welder and has like Parkinsons disease.
Are you really Canadian? or are you just being funny?
Very cool robot project! Do you thing I could rig up a 30ft. di. Dome out of 3/4 conduit and make it livable for the winter? I need suggestions on covering and insulation options! I like your channel and vids. I hope to make a response video when I get the bush lot!
Ya, you can totally make a dome like that. Get a clear tarp, and it'll have a greenhouse effect. ...keeping it warm in the day. Get a big woodstove for night time, though! :-)
You could always do what I do. Wall off a smaller room to heat at night.
Hey, I'm from and living in Parry Sound and looking for land. Thank you I've been saving a big mumma bear stove from my old house and it can hold a ton of 18 inch logs :) Thanks for the info man! Have you seen the video for PAT (pumps as turbine) , these clever are using centrifugal pumps off the shelf and pushing water through the out spinning it backwards. Tre cool!!
We call those with tons of expensive tools "equipment hounds". They spend lots of money but never make much. The true creative can make amazing stuff out of almost nothing. The same applies to musicians (lots of nice amps and guitars but no talent) and artists (tons of paint, canvas and expensive brushes but can't paint worth a crap). Equipment hounds are everywhere, every profession. You sir, are no equipment hound, but ARE a crazed genius. Can't wait to see the finished ROBOT! Rock on, J!
I agree with your assessment of equipment hounds, the truly gifted craftsmen will create with very little however, give the same creative craftsman some equipment, materials and sharp tools and there projects jump from functional to art. I'd give Jaimie a vertical milling machine if i had one
i don't know, a milling machine would be sweet. no doubt... just one question, would a hypothetical vertical milling machine interfere with indoor trampoline real-estate?
Those people with the great workshops use up all their imagination figuring out where to hang stuff on the wall. At 6:30 you look like Captain Kirk with your Star Trek shirt on, explaining to Spock about the need for human imagination.LOL ...or maybe It's cause I just watched the new Star Trek movie!
dam what you said about imagination just make realise how much important is been creative thank you sooo much Jamie jaja btw nice name Dashaina maybe when i have a girl in a future i may name her like you jeje
looks like your together now, couldnt ask for a better dome companion, Dashaina is pretty neat. Might want to start thinking about that hot water heater ;-)
Oh yeah...Einstein said: Imagination is more important than knowledge and your robot design (albeit freehand) is the epitome of that...cool, just so cool.
Hurry up and finish it lol, I want to see what your going to make next. Just kidding, I know full well what its like to run out of stuff like money when your building stuff . Keep up the good work.
