Hey, both John Mayer and this artist are great. I don't think a person needs Berklee credentials to be a solid performer. I follow JM; read back on where JM started out; whether it's BBQ bashes or coffee shops, everyone starts out somewhere. Give this guy some time, and he'll be on stage with the greats, too. It's obvious he has plenty of natural talent. I think JM would agree.
this guy doesn't touch JM's sound, versatility, voice, songwriting. which all are aspects of a frontman/ frontguitarist. and you are kidding yourself if there is anyone from this generation who is a notch above what JM is playing blues

@festose I agree, there is a reason Mayer is selling out MSG and this guy is playing a barbeque bash.
Mayer is classically trained and has had the honor to play with many of the greats.
