Autologous stem cell transplantation is a procedure by which blood-forming stem cells are removed, and later injected back into the patient. All stem cells are taken from the patient themselves and cultured for later injection. I just had this procedure done yesterday to repair the damage that breast cancer did to my right breast. Right now, I'm still in quite a bit of pain, but I can already feel that my tummy is quite a bit tighter (and smaller, too)! The best part about it is there is nothing artificial- no fake gel or silicone implants which your body can reject!
