  • It's very important that one uses powerful ventilation when working with enamels/powdered glass. The body has no way to cope with glass powder in the lungs.

    Our friend Laurie in the video will likely develop fatal silicosis due to breathing powdered glass. Only a fool would work with glass powder in the open air, instead within a powder box or under a fume hood.

    Thanks for your concern about my impending doom. Perhaps you didn't notice, but this was shot for a television program. My entire studio was moved around to accommodate the cameras, and the entire process was both sped up and steps were skipped to make the segment more appealing. Having a mask over my face was one of those steps.

    A less alarmist note might have been perceived as educational or informative, but I have to say this just comes off as bitter and angry. Interesting.
