@kelzzycoster I just sold my hardrock to a friend and bought a rockhopper and I'm more satisfied with the rockhopper because it has a lighter frame and better quality derailers. I've had that hardrock for 6 years and took it to hell and back and still works very well. ( I only sold it to my friend because I needed the money for a bigger sized frame )
@kelzzycoster for the money there both great, but i would recommend upgrading the fork on the hardrock depending on what your doing because its a bit crap
@samg9022 it is a good bike, got a hardrock pro myself and take it to the trails at least 2-3 times a week. However, the stock fork is pretty poor so that was upgraded to a Rockshox Reba RLT pretty quickly. Also, the tyres are not very good if you want to take it anywhere near mud so I'd get a set of Maxxis if you were serious about getting the bike and think about a set of pedals as well :)
@DRTrampboy123 still riding it? Should invest in a better bike if your going to race this is just a entry level bike. They are all heavy and you will put to much money into it to make it light. My personal favorite bike companies are Yeti Niner or cannondale depending on which one you get (lefty)
@VladTrof95 Its not gears that cause the chain to fall off its improper shifting or the chain is to long for the bike or the cables have stretched out not a big problem but I suggest saving your money and buying a stunt jumper if you want a good bike.
@potatomanjr Im saying this because the bike i have right now is really crappy and if ur on 2 gear on the front sometimes when u switch to 3rd it jumps out side of the 3rd cassette making it hard to put the chain back because of my chain guard, so i always leave the front gear on 3rd lol i was just wondering if this bike had that problem cuz of some reviews i've read
@VladTrof95 No it is not the bike I forgot to add that you will need to adjust the front deraluire. I for one dont have to do this since I race/ ride Single Speed haha. Take it by your local bike shop and have them look at it. It could be a matter of adjusting the derailure.
so im thinking about buying on but will it hold up to big jumps and drops? i ride motocross so i plan on jumping this thing pretty big. also like the 2005 version looks kinda like a stronger frame while this kinda looks like crusier bike
im a fat arse at 6'2 300lbs and this bike is taking the abuse like a champ. at the price point it sits at its gotta be one of the better values in bikes period.
I just bought one of these the other day. Great bike except for the stock handlebar. Got a Truvativ Stylo mid-rise bar with an Uno stem. Also just put a Suntour Epicon fork. Great budget bike. Can't wait to get it on the trails.
im buying a sport disc one this week:) cant wait but i just have to say that the fork sux so im gonna replace it with a suntour xcr or rockshox dart 1, or manitou match if i can find one :)
@redbird963 how do you like it i found one at my local bike shop and think i want it, but i have to save up to get it if you could respond ASAP that would be great
Bought that bike yesterday, it's so sick. It looks really nice, runs really smooth and is relatively cheap compared to other bikes and is like the cheapest of the specialized. So if anyone is thinking of getting this...do.
Right ive watched this video lik 50 times in a row now im going to hav to buy it :)
