Virgin Atlantic's Upper Class Wing at London Heathrow

Im far from rich and 100% working class and have travelled twice Upperclass. Took me ages to save for this but well worth it, before anybody knocks Virgin for this, work hard and start saving.

During my flight from Chicago to Heathrow, which the ovbernight service was divine, I arrived to the lovely Upper Class Wing for the first time, had a chauffer driven car to where I wnated to go and the service was excellent. I felt like I was the excellent Sir Richard himself!

@Aviationnation10 Not if you are flying Upper Class it's either comlimentary chauffeur or on the back of a Limo bike...I know...as i used to fly LHR-LAX with Virgin Atlantic a few times per year with work...not now as i changed my job so its the Middle East and Far East a couple of times per year..

Wow whats Virgin Atlantic doing with their new A330.300? No Upper Class only Premium economy and economy for it's new Beijing, Cancun and Vancouver routes..i could understand no Upper Class for Cancun since most flights there are charter flights from the UK but even Thomas Cook have a new business class seat for their new planes on order, Mr Branson your "Next Generation" is clearly a step backwards to Beijing when Britain is trying to get business in China, B.A. will be rubbing their hands!!!.

@Aviationnation10 With all due respect Thomas Cook are not in the same leauge as Virgin Atlantic...so they have no need for a flatbed seat....i can understand not needing a Upper Class for Cancun as its more of a charter holiday resort place for Charter airlines like Thomas Cook....but Vancouver and most of all Beijing for business reasons needs a Upper Class..i have flown on many airlines in business with work and my work would never put any of it's staff in Premium Economy.

@Aviationnation10 So i did...haha, i was told by a someone that they'd seen a video of a B787 with business class seats on a charter flight he said Thomas Cook...maybe it was that other charter airline Thomson?...are they doing a better class and are they going to buy the B787?

@Aviationnation10 I have just been on The business Traveller website and Air China are putting new business class seats and premium economy seats in their planes and one of the route is Heathrow-Beijing...clearly Air China thinks business more than Virgin Atlantic for that route.

Looks nice. But it seems excessive considering most airports that would have a lounge like this are nice enough in their own right. Curb to lounge in 10 minutes is nice, but I'm more interested to see if curb to gate in 10 minutes (20 min even) could be accomplished for economy passengers. I think that's the more interesting challenge.

@AirKingOne Richard Branson is known for not only fly on his airline, but economy too. He's said in interviews it easier to see that what needs improvements, if you see it first hand. He has to be one of the most down to earth billionaires around.
