Il maestro Tamura...un grande maestro, non c'è dubbio, un altrettanto grande truffatore! spesso prendeva soldi a dei poveretti che pensavano di essere san, yon dan e invece erano solo shodan...veniva pagato, faceva gli stage, gli esami e poi ciao, come se niente fosse!
2010 is a cursed year for Aikido. We lost Reishin Kawai and Yoshio Kuriowa in January, Nobuyoshi Tamura and Seiichi Sugano in the summer and Kanshu Sunadomari in November. Hope we won't lose anybody in 2011!!
I didn't know Tamura Sensei passed away. My condolencies. He is the grandfather of Aikido in Chile, he was the master of Jorge Rojo Sensei, the founder of Aikikai Chile. The first chilean aikidokas are truly his grandchildren. I'm not one, but some of my dearest friends are aikidokas, so my respect to them.
I must say, that with great respect to Aikido and all the phenomenal teachers that have evolved since O'Sensei, I truly believe 'Tamura Sensei' can be regarded as one of the most outstanding Aikido teacher's of all time.
