It is a loss I will feel as a viewer and fan, and I truly do wish that men such as he were more common in the world I live in. These are the people that can inspire others and can make a difference in the lives of others.

We need more men of his calibur and courage.

My condolences to his family, but his family can at least take comfort in the fact that he regained back his sanity when he went from liberal to Repub and that in itself shows he cared for humanity and will get him into heaven. He no longer supported communism, tyranny, and terrorism, but humanity.

I used to listen to Ron Silver on Sirius Radio's Indie-Talk 110...

I will miss his Political commentary. What I liked best about Ron Silver, was he could talk about a subject in a balanced manner. Look at something from both sides.

He was respectful towards his radio callers, un-like so many other radio personalities out there. ---I think that itself, said a whole lot about Ron Silver (as a person).

As an actor, I particularly enjoyed his work in the TV series "Chicago Hope".

In real life, it turns out that he is a brave man of strong convictions and integrity who had the intestinal fortitude to swim against the Hollywood tsunami of leftism. May he confront cancer the same way.
