  • @kalleanka30 I refer you to my previous comments and would say yes it is.

  • This is NOT kakarigeiko.

  • To all those who have been equally unimpressed with my kakari-geiko, having experienced it I know this was an extremely difficult 10 minutes and I'm not about to justify why, after a 2 hour lesson and fencing each club member prior to this 10 minutes, I may not have been as sprightly as some might wish. At the least I have made you 'laugh out loud' for which I can feel pleased about. And yes this is probably 8 minutes of ji-geiko with 2 mins of kakari-giko at the end...

  • hope you got better since 1997 cos in this video you look pretty horrible.

    Another thing dude: GAMAN!

holy shit you cant show u r tired like that, That's just plain embarrassing, you did maybe 20 seconds of actual kakarigeiko and its not like your jigeiko was very fast paced lol...

  • @r0b0wn3d Thanks for your input, you'll see by the rest of my videos featuring yours truly that indeed I have not progressed in the last 13 years. Alas the mountain is much steeper for some of us so I will take on board your words [even the choice ones].

  • @r0b0wn3d

maybe you should spend more time cultivating your inner kendo before so crudely criticizing someone elses physical kendo...

Keep at it dwez1, the last bit definitely looked tough!

  • @abunigel13

I can show you SangMuKwan form...

  • I'm glad you enjoyed the clip even if you're laughing at me and not with me. I like home video howlers too. ;)

Stay frosty and thanks for watching.commenting.

  • not kakari geiko...-_-

  • To quote the great Neil Gendzwill

" Kakari-geiko is attacking practice, meaning one person attacks and the other offers targets. Jigeiko is free practice, meaning do whatever you want. In the case of jigeiko with sensei, it's do whatever sensei feels you need to work on. If you are quite junior, your jigeiko with sensei is often kakari-geiko"

So yes it was probably ji-geiko for the most part but at the end it felt like kakari geiko. Still I'm glad you watched and thanks for the comments.

  • i think it is a 10 minutes ji - geiko, because

after a 10 minutes kakari geiko you are

    almost "dead"!

  • Hi otin17, thanks for the input, you are probably correct in that it is not ten minutes of kakari geiko. It is probably an 8 minute ji-geiko with a minute of kakari geiko at the end. All I know is it was the hardest fence I've ever had and as far as I understand what kakari geiko is the last bit was it for me. Thanks for watching though.

  • hey, 1997! very nostalgic video.

    but i think it

  • Hey!

I'm also Kenseikai - trained under Mr Fujii and Trevor Jones....not trained recently tho. Good to see Kenseikai presence on youtube!
