In this anime, we get a glimpse into the first couple years into the Apocalypse as he rallies other demon/human hybrids for the endgame battle with Ryo/Satan. This anime movie concerns the murder of Miki and her family and Akira's subsequent loss of control over his inner monster.

Food for thought: this could happen to Naruto...

I don't think the nine tailed foxed has as vintage a personality as amon. They wouldn't get too messed up in a modern anime. Modern anime caters more towards the kids. (Like DB Kai censoring out the original DBZ fights i.e. Raditz.)
