This was a very good episode. I like the Hawks and wish there was some way they could win the game but from the promo it sounds like they will decide the winning tribe. I understand both sides of the Chops debate. She was food and a pet. The girls might have been able to save her if they had tried to catch some chickens or fish.

As much as I like the pig, it had to be done. That pig obviously had a VERY happy life.

Chops had a way better life than most pigs that end up being eatten not having to live in a cramped cage in a shed and all. So in a way it doesnt seem quite so bad and yeah if they didnt kill her once they left the island someone else would have.

man, my upbring, ive seen pigs being killed every xmas. and this is when i was young, like 5 etc... its interesting how alot of ppl dont understand that, the animals we ate are killed everyday. gosh the girls come on, they are going to be killed anyhow when u all leave the island, enjoy the yummy chops.

How would you like it if one of your family or friends were killed for meat? Why do we humans have more of a right to live than animals?? Most animals were on this earth before we were. Have some fucking empathy!

Chops was obviously placed there by the shipwrecked crew. If the Hawks hadn't eaten her, she would've been slaughtered after the show, since the animals that had been put on the island would've had to come off again. In the remote chance of chops staying there, she would have been very sad and lonely to be left after 3 months of domestication. Killing and eating chops was the only humaine option. She was consumed by people who genuinely cared about her. survival is more important than emotion.

Us Brits eat food that is all processed and packaged for us, such that we never really think of the actual killing of the animal. Sad really.. we should at the least see what happens and where our food comes from. I've seen on tele cows and lambs being slaughtered, not a nice thing to see, but it really gives me an insight to what really goes on behind the scenes.

Yeah. I can understand why they did it and it is part of the learning process, but Chops was a fab pig and I got very fond of her. At least the girls stood by their guns and did not eat her.
