The costumes that are used in the show, are not made to withstand being soaked in pounds of water. Thus, making the performers routine unsafe. WDW, has a special circumstance, being that Florida is subject to severe storms that produces inches of rain in minutes.

You never hear ANYTHING about this Fantasmic breaking down because we don't have something as complex as Murphy does... all we have is a head attacted toa random arm, and two giant curtains that glow....

The first time I went to WDW fantasmic was almost canceled cause it had been raining off and on all day...........

seeing this I almost wish it was canceled.

they need to release all the pyrotechnics for the show and the safest way to do that is to fire them off in the back-up show. If they remove them while they are loaded it could blow off an arm or leg and possibly kill a worker. Plus the stage is very slick when wet as are the bardges and the ferry.

Fantasmic has cast members in costume it would be to dangerous for them to perform during a storm. This show doesn't have any cast members in it.

No I think what they meant was that Illuminations uses original music. They were describing this as what Illuminations MIGHT be like if it was set to Disney music.

it's a nice show, but also quite funny.. It's like, 'hey we have to shoot off all these fireworks we set up.. Heck, let's just turn on all the effects and set them to random fantasmic music!'

@Fiyeroni It isn't funny for them. It takes Tech Control hours to set up these fireworks. Believe me, they're more upset than we are at the show being cancelled.

even though it stopped raining they cancelled fantasmic due to flooding in the dragons pit and the other damage that can happen to the light towers

Actually there's the exact same amount of fireworks in this one as the full version, no more. It just seems like there are more because they are all shot off in two minutes opposed to 25 minutes

The show was cancelled because of rain it was pouring right up until the show was supposed to start so they cancelled the show. Of course it stopped raining right after.
