I too wonder if this is the same player I saw in the 80s in a duo. I also still have an old cassette tape that I found again and played last night. I believe it was Gibbons and Blanchette. They looked about 30ish in the photo, all dressed up in the style of the 1700s. I love it.
Oh! I love this! Absolutely brilliant. I wonder if this is the same player I saw busking in Copenhagen in the 80's. with a duo? I still have that old cassette tape.
@AndanteLargo Hello from a world away of time and miles. I had been looking through some old stuff and found the case to that same tape you're referring to, acquired from this man, busking with Peter Michelini in Harvard Sq. Cambridge Mass, USA in the 1980s! So today I was looking around and found that a lot of those recordings still exist on a compilation called Archguitar Baroque (you can get it from Amazon). Going to order one today. Music from heaven.
I believe I saw you performing on Church Street in Burlington, VT about fifteen years ago. I bought one of your CDs which has a few of my favorite pieces of music on it-- especially 'Les Bergeries' by Couperin (not sure of the spelling on the title. I would love to see you post that one, but this piece is beautiful as well. Great to see you're still performing, hope you come to NYC sometime.
It's great to finally see the archguitar in action. I've owned the "Archguitar Renaissance" CD for years and love it--the playing and brass arrangements are so musical. Is there any chance you could add a video or two of that repertoire? I like the first track on the CD the best.
I remember seeing Peter in Amsterdam about 25 years ago for the first time. I was captivated by the wonderful sound of the Arch Guitar then, and have always loved listening to his recordings of Basse Danse and Style Brise. Nice to see you on Youtube, Peter.
Hats off to a truly great musician who was already inspiring thousands with his arch guitar long before the rest of us even dreamed about. James Kline
Mr. Blanchette, you are also very cute! : )

WOW! Thanks for the info! I will too! Great! I am happy again!
I copied that cassette to a reel tape and now the old reel tape recorder has given up. Good to know I can get it digital!
Thanks.

The best rendition I have ever heard, I am no t interested in the fancy instrument, I think the player himself is a great musician.

We must have been looking at the same performance! As you, i was very impressed by the instrument.
Style Brise has been close at hand for the past 25, 26 years.
