@robot720 Jerkin is a mainstream dance. It's not a real hip hop dance like break dancing, poppin, locking & krumping. All those dances have fundentals, basics, levels & styles. All these dances take commitment & years of practice to master. Jerkin takes what, several hours to learn & a week to fully get the groove down. It is not a hard to learn at all. Doesn't take real skill & doesn't take commitment at all. Jerkin hasn't changed much since it started. It's not evolving at all.

Yea maybe just a tad bit difference in the moves they did, but nothing dramatically special. If you knew what krump is, you'd know that krump went through a huge change/transition in 2008. It became more controlled & technical. Thats real dance evolution right there. Like I said, jerk all you want, but it's no hip hop dance & it can't compare with real dances.

When people hear jerking, they know what it is, but when someone mentions krump, people misinterpret what it is.

you can't expect a dancer to just stick with one style and not mix it a bit with another. think of music. rap/rock - linkin park mixed those 2 styles. rnb/trance. a true dancer wouldn't care much about taking credit, it's about being respected by their creativity & passion just to dance any way they like. we can't help but NOT stick to one style.

@robot720 Jerkin is a mainstream dance. It's not a real hip hop dance like break dancing, poppin, locking & krumping. All those dances have fundentals, basics, levels & styles. All these dances take commitment & years of practice to master. Jerkin takes what, several hours to learn & a week to fully get the groove down. It is not a hard to learn at all. Doesn't take real skill & doesn't take commitment at all. Jerkin hasn't changed much since it started. It's not evolving at all.

@robot720 I'm pretty sure my eyes don't decieve me. As I said, the only difference I saw in the videos were the locations they dance at. Yea maybe just a tad bit difference in the moves they did, but nothing dramatically special. If you knew what krump is, you'd know that krump went through a huge change/transition in 2008. It became more controlled & technical. Thats real dance evolution right there. Like I said, jerk all you want, but it's no hip hop dance & it can't compare with real dances.

I just don't like it when they try to call themselves a real dance. It's a mainstream dance like the dougie or the steanky leg. Krump is a part of hip hop which has dramatically evolved since 1999.

@CrazyLookinKidz Theres also a lot of people trying to krump & making it look bad. Krump is a very strong spiritual dance. To really be able to krump, you gotta have a lot of love for the dance. You also have to have a lot of discipline. Again this is with any real hip hop dance. It does irritate me more though to see people claiming they krump dance when they really don't. When people hear jerking, they know what it is, but when someone mentions krump, people misinterpret what it is.

Even though I dont categorize myself as a jerker alone, im a dancer. Its more of a Catch22 when it comes to this argument between jerkin and krumpin.
