Scientology is great. Its positive, its for human rights, its against drug use, it tries to help people. I speak from experience. I have been to the churches (orgs). I have experienced auditing, I have read the books.
I could be wrong but I 'think' 99 % of those that speak out against Scientolgy have no first hand experience: by that I mean they have never visited an org (gone inside and had a conversation, they have never audited, they have never read l rons books. too bad. scientology rocks
In late 1994 and early 1995 a few copyright anarchists unlawfully acquired copies of unpublished Church of Scientology scriptures and posted them on the Internet. When they were sued successfully by the copyright holders, these same people embarked on an anti-religious hate campaign utilizing Internet newsgroups, websites and the press.
Speaker for Anonymous is like speaking for all gamers. You can't represent all the Anonymous, but I see good in your causes. One day, I might consider becoming an anonymous, but no time soon.
the definition of a church is: A place for public (especially Christian) worship;
Therefore they can call their 'place' of worship a CHURCH...this is a free world, if you dont like it..move on..Ive been born, baptized, and raised GREEK ORTHODOX, but I NEVER once was 'taught' to humiliate another 'group'. Im strong on my own beliefs, so i don't fear another organization..ONly the week fear and talk bad of other groups...FULL STOP.
That is like saying that soldiers who wear camo are sissies or that stealth attacks are cowardly. This simply is not true. If you can't be identified, you can't be a target. It is a smart thing to do in order to protect yourself.
I can't speak from personal experience, but there seems to be a history of the CoS harassing their critics, which is definitely a form of attack. Mark Bunker was followed to his own home and picketed back around 2000. Further back than that, Paulette Cooper was framed for bomb threats in Operation Freakout. This was an particularly well-documented case.
Maybe the Church has changed since these events but, even if they have, I think many are still extremely cautious and have good reason to be.
Good idea. I was thinking about the same thing (some sort of unified message, but which is obviously difficult due to the nature of the lack of organization of anonymnous).
anonymous i diffrent people there is no um welll "head way of doign things the certain way" i geuss and soem assholes jsut wanna make videos to get the respons
2/10 Is the beginning to the end! Of both sides. For we will stand and coquered both. Silently. We do not need demonstrations or videos nor a church to let people see what we can do. If Anonymous will protest where we have heard they will be there will be a turn in events. Eye for an eye
Very interesting. So Anonymous is like the collective Martin Luther of Scientology. I wish them the best of luck, because I've heard some horrible things about the RTC, but the actual beliefs of Scientology itself have some interesting aspects.
although i understand the reference to Martin Luther, if I were anon I'd still be insulted hehe b/c Martin Luter was just as bad as the Church he opposed. The man literally believed that his constipation was caused by demons living in his bowels, and that jews should be exterminated.
the era of intimidation and corruption is about to end. join the protest feb 10 2008 worldwide. scientology is about to be tossed into the dustbin of history.
mm the thing i disagree about this video is saying that other religions like christianity and islam are somehow less deceptive. From my experience, even christianity has some serious problems with telling the truth. but ... yay anti scientologists
people are deceptive even of a religion is not meant to be and in its roots its supposed to be good even the most powerful can curropt a once peaceful organization. It doesnt matter because this organization has bad roots from just its founder alone
Christians were punished and killed for hundreds of years for questioning the causes and beliefs of their church. religion in its self is just a bad idea.
Religious beliefs are a nessisary part of life, without a philosophy to life your life by and to view death in, most of us would have a pointless existence.
Religious Organizations that are allowed to roam free of judgement are the problem. When geedy men choose to abuse the power of faith. Be that in Jesus, Buddha, or Xenu.
no you're right, they don't now. But they used to. Since the very beginning of it's founding, Christianity, Islam, (Judaism is automatically included), they've fought over their dogma, their institution, and their role in people's lives. They just don't anymore, because people have outgrown their power plays and warped morality, so they had to tone it down.
When you/we are done with scientology, i hope that we could take on the other religions, the seeds of war, capitalism, extremism, hate, supression and the root of all evil! When the Organization of Anonymous grows (as it will). Let's join together and crush the seeds of all pain in this world! We are legion!
Good job at striking up curiosity, the greatest for truth and the path to it.

For twelve years you've been asking "Who is John Galt?" I'm the man who's taken away your victims and thus destroyed your world. You've heard it said that this is an age of moral crisis and that Man's sins are destroying the world. You've sacrificed justice to mercy and happiness to duty. So why should you be afraid of the world around you?

Right, and I was just saying that their beliefs make them critics, therefore making them targets for harassment. Hence, the masks. ;)

It's not a lack of organization, it's a decentralization. There is a very distinct difference.

Wait, so Anonymous is pro Scientology, but anti-Scientology organizations? (or should I be saying 'ant-Scientological organizations')
leitermann 4 years ago
scientology as a belief is no more or less valid than any other philosophy or belief.
the church of scientology and the religious technology center (the RTC mentioned in anonymous' first vid) are the targets.

Every religion is based on a myth of one kind or another, be it a carpenter walking on water, demon children tempting a monk, or space aliens.
Religion itself is harmless, Religious organizations are extremely, if not completely, dangerous.
D4S18L12 4 years ago
I wouldn't say completely. There's plenty of good religious organizations out there.
