  • !980,... those were some great years. Great trucks! Great stunts! Great times... :)

  • dam metalica sucks

  • Old trucks are much sexier than new ones!

  • at 2:18-2:32, which truck is that?

  • @19emmi94 The truck from 2:18 to 2:32 is Jack Willman's "Taurus."

  • @DiggerFanJSB thanks

  • Those where when you could take any vehicle out there and make it in to a monster truck, THOSE where the days, not this all fiberglass stuff.

  • i would love to have the original GraveDigger truck, what a menacing truck...

Taurus crushing the school buses always amazed me when i was a kid.

Aagh to be 6 years old again...

  • OMG i need one of this

  • would love to see aces high return.

  • jeeze they're so bouncy, it musta been hard controlling them

  • @xbigxredx2009 thats what makes it fun!

  • I miss Bigfoot! I'd love to see him on Monster Jam. This is back when trucks were trucks and not concept vehicles with stupid lookin' bodies like Max D. or Monster Mutt

  • Old school monster trucks are still the best!

  • gravedigger fan u got old school videos

  • hey the elcamino truck thats in the opening seconds does ne one kno ther whereabouts of it

  • I am not sure as of 2007, but last knew it was still around and sponcered by Valvoline. It could be rented for partys, no longer races.

  • That's Gary Bauer's Lon Ranger truck.

  • what this song called love this vid

  • The song is "Fuel" by Metallica.

  • figata americana!!!bravi dai de gas!!!

  • can't fight it, monster trucks are just FLAT out the bomb and are enjoying to watch anywhere. legends like bigfoot, bearfoot, king kong, grave digger...yeah...gotta miss the old days. Awesome vids man, monster trucks are simply kick ass!

  • I love the 80s monster trucks!

  • ok... WTF was that?!?!?!?!?!

  • cool video.

  • The footage from 2:12ish through 2:16ish, with King Krunch...which tape is that? I owned it a long time ago, and can't remember the name of it

  • That footage is on the USA Motorsports video, "Monster Mania."

  • I thought so, but just couldn't be 100% for sure...DiggerFan to the rescue!!!

  • buddy this is amazing. thanks for putting it up!

  • I love the old stuff

  • Diggerfan, you are correct, that is the first Skoal truck.

  • That is the first Skoal Crusher truck, I think.

  • The yellow truck in one of King Kong trucks Steve Dane drove. the orig. Clydesdale was Chevy Pick-up.

  • Yep, you are absolutely right...Thanks!

  • Can anyone name the plain yellow truck with what appears to be an Allison aircraft motor in the back...is that the original Clydesdale? By the way, it is great to see Steve Dane posting on here. These clips really bring back memories of being 7 years old and watching Monster Truck tapes all day long.

  • Fantastic as usual! I'm glad to see Jon Breen's Mad Dog in it, that was my fav. truck next to the Grave Digger.

Great to see you here Steve Dane.

  • Great vid. The early monster trucks remind me of the Gassers/Fuel Altereds of the '60s -- comparatively low technology, unsafe, and slow to todays machines, but it was better that way!

  • However, I just wish they would get rid of the destruction part, I always thought the original theme of monster trucks, was crushing cars, and competition. Not flipping your fiber-glass shell right into the dirt.

  • I miss those days. I hate to compare monster trucks to wrestling because I shouldnt BUT they have evolved almost the same. Wrestling has gone to crap (WWE atleast) in the fact that its all talk no wrestling. Monster trucks (*cough* CCE) have gone to all destruction no true racing or unique events. Just my take on it. Nice vids!

  • Well, most televised events so no true racing, I loved Monsters of Destruction on the Outdoor Channel.

  • Yea I agree atleast MOD is trying to revive the true aspect of monster trucks a showcase of good racing and showcasing the trucks abilities while not emphasizing so much on the destruction part.

  • Wow, Steve Dane! Nice to see ya, you were truly a great monster truck driver.

  • ^great to see you, Steve! I still have two Awesome Kongs by Matchbox.

  • think u pls do a part 4

  • I was at many of these events... brings back alot of memories!

    Thanks,

    Steve Dane

    King Kong / Awesome Kong

  • Nice, great music, great footage, very well done!

  • Ah, I meant what gene was doing with his hand. It's hard to read.

  • What was Andy Brass doing at the end?

  • I'm pretty sure that was Gene Patterson & Jim Kramer in that clip at the end. I think they were attempting to fasten down the trunk of the junk car, to prevent any problems with the trucks landing on it.

  • that would be jim kramer and john piant

  • I love the Monster Trucks of the 80s....When they were truly trucks.

  • Freakin sweet. Think you could get us some racing(with commentary perhaps?) on here? I would love it.

  • Awesome Vid, loved the Tuff Trax theme at the end.

  • Another awesome installment!
