I miss Bigfoot! I'd love to see him on Monster Jam. This is back when trucks were trucks and not concept vehicles with stupid lookin' bodies like Max D. or Monster Mutt

can't fight it, monster trucks are just FLAT out the bomb and are enjoying to watch anywhere. legends like bigfoot, bearfoot, king kong, grave digger...yeah...gotta miss the old days. Awesome vids man, monster trucks are simply kick ass!
Can anyone name the plain yellow truck with what appears to be an Allison aircraft motor in the back...is that the original Clydesdale? By the way, it is great to see Steve Dane posting on here. These clips really bring back memories of being 7 years old and watching Monster Truck tapes all day long.
Great vid. The early monster trucks remind me of the Gassers/Fuel Altereds of the '60s -- comparatively low technology, unsafe, and slow to todays machines, but it was better that way!
However, I just wish they would get rid of the destruction part, I always thought the original theme of monster trucks, was crushing cars, and competition. Not flipping your fiber-glass shell right into the dirt.
I miss those days. I hate to compare monster trucks to wrestling because I shouldnt BUT they have evolved almost the same. Wrestling has gone to crap (WWE atleast) in the fact that its all talk no wrestling. Monster trucks (*cough* CCE) have gone to all destruction no true racing or unique events. Just my take on it. Nice vids!
Yea I agree atleast MOD is trying to revive the true aspect of monster trucks a showcase of good racing and showcasing the trucks abilities while not emphasizing so much on the destruction part.
I'm pretty sure that was Gene Patterson & Jim Kramer in that clip at the end. I think they were attempting to fasten down the trunk of the junk car, to prevent any problems with the trucks landing on it.
!980,... those were some great years. Great trucks! Great stunts! Great times... :)
