It has been a while since I've played, but I would have to say that Fossil Roo is the most boring and annoying part of the game, especially for those who try and get everything.
Agreed. Was just about to write that. Remember the first time i played through, trying to search everything - i nearly ran out of phoenix downs because it took so long.
That's what I like about FF8, there's an abilty that removes encounters:D

There really isn't a secret. You just have to keep trying until you get through with no random battles--it will happen eventually.
