Wow, I remember staying there in 1974, my friend Mike and I had travelled down from London, we were only 14. the place was full and they put us up in the sitting room with some old guy. The room was full of people after bed time and the warden's wife came in and went totally mental shouting at everyone (except us!)
Some kid had coloured cigarettes....Balkan Sobrainies.......how the hell have I remembered that!!!! memories are so powerful at that age. We drank black velvet & met some girls

can't comment on the video as it feels a little commercialised, portaying all positives, I can comment on the accommodation and the hostel managers stopped over may 2008 with my other half and our three kids two seperate nights jobs a good un, does what is says on the tin. we were pleasently surprised our first year on a hostel holiday and we would do it again.

The YHA has working hours that are illegal. Back to back shifts with less than 11 hours break are against the law.
