@ExitTheTwiist97 Make sure you have the Amplitude knob in the Oscilator section turned up.  This is the "volume knob". Either that, or make sure the blue circle is highlighted next to OSC 1 as this button controls the on/off of that section.

8:30 sounds like the beginning of Rubber Johnny from Aphex Twin. I believe he uses some sort of digital degradation to an actual voice wavetable of some sort.

Wow, I am brand new to Massive and it blows me away how versatile this thing is. As far as the "talking" effect goes in this tutorial, if you connect the sliders in the stepper with the buttons underneath each column you get a real "wawa" and "yeya" kind of sound, more like a real phoneme.

@darek4488 you might be on an LFO instead of the stepper. On the top part of that LFO window you have three options to choose from - LFO, Performer, and Stepper

@SaintOwnerLP you have to route the modulation from the stepper to the pitch of an oscillator section. Simply drag the crosshair from the stepper over to the box that says pitch in Oscillator A for example. Then raise the modulation amount by pulling up on the mouse to give it a modulation range

@DarkJuggaloNick What program are you using? Most programs will sync up the VST with the project's tempo, but if it's not, go the to Global tab, and there should be a thing that says "preset bpm", which you can modify to your liking.

everything seems to be going okay so far, im about half way through the vid, just one thing that ive noticed, if anyone could help me out, when i go into the stepper/LFO/performer, the wave lengths on the vids ive seen all seem to have white lines above the dark blue bodies, e.g. in stepper, you have all these bars, which have white lines on top of each dark blue bar, they are like the ceilings, but i dont have them for some reason, can someone help me out? cheers!
