Yes, and I'll share any other Info that I have. Handyflux is a commercial product that you can buy for any Jewelry supply; a big jar will cost about $10. Its basically Borax, with some other things in it, it melts like sand and forms a thin glass on the metal, it keeps oxygen from getting to the metal during soldering.
fierronights, If your just getting into it, go to the library and read books about making jewelry first, this will pay off later. The one thing to do before building the foundation, before drawing up the plans is to do the market research. Good luck and e-me or call me if you have any questions.
