Memphis is in the state TENNESSEE where i live i live like hour away from memphis i been there hounder's of times it biggier then the state chaptil and has a rich history.

It WAS released as a single record and who cares if 100 artists did it before her, or since, her´s is still the best version in my opinion better than the original by Mark Cohn.

Cher is unquestionably a great artist but she did not do this song any justice. Hers is perhaps the worst version I have ever listened to.Try Mark Cohn's version, or Bruce springsteen's to see what I mean.
