a lot of the spam getting sent to ur email comes from unofficial WoW sites. like, if you've registered to WoW head or sites to do ANYTHING with WoW besides the offical Warcraft website, they get your e-mail from there. Got hacked twice bcus i was stupid enough to forget to change my e-mail pword. DO NOT REPLY to any e-mail reguarding WoW without @ Blizzard at the end. Not even a little" lol u fail" I was tempted but i didn't bcus they will only try harder.

It was actually yesterday I found out x'D I just searched on it, and saw the crap in all videos "Your account name and password", bla bla. And different email of course. Yeah my WoW account was hacked this morning while I was playing...it kept booting me out of the server...then I took a 15 min break...that was all it took for some asshole to delete my top 5 characters and thank God I had my higher levels on the bottom of my list. As of now my account is banned and I got a generic E0mail from Blizzard saying they are trying to recover my characters. Doubt that will happen...I went on youtube to see if anyone else has ever had characters removed and recovered.

Yes, WoW is an MMORPG, which stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. This means it can only be played online, there's no single player mode availible. In WoW you also pay a monthly fee for your account, but if you bought it at a store you will get the first month free of that charge. :)

generally, they like to hack accounts to gain access to the gold that the player have been gathering, often sending it to their own characters. In bigger scams, they take the gold and sell it for real money. You know, those ever-spamming gold sellers? Most of the time, it's these guys.
