sudo apt-get install gnome-shell

why on earth did they implement all this zooming i'm having a hard time running compiz smoothly on my nettop
all that is currently missing is a searchable menu
the focus should be on practicability and not desktop voodoo

It doesn't looks bad, but it looks super annoying with those windows zoom in and out and in and out and in and out and in and out...... why they have to show you all the desktop everytime you hit activity? we are not animal that only have 5 mins of memory in out head....

I am not at all liking the removal of the menu bar to select windows. If they were going to do anything with it, they should have merged the bottom menu bar into the top menu bar... but, it isn't near finished yet (thank god).

I'm not sure if I understood you but... you can already do that (merge the bottom bar with the top one). You just need to move your applets from one bar to another and remove the empty one...
Anyway, I don't really like what I see in this video...
