This song brings back memories of living in student housing. It was this single room with the bed next to the big window. I'd fall into oblivion on my bed listening to this song as twilight turned into darkness, while a single candle would light up the dark. Good feeling!

Honestly, this IS a very good vampire song, except it shows us another side of vampires than Twilight. This seems to focus more on what happens inside the actual thoughts and feelings of the 'vampire.'

If this song was included in Twilight, it would only be good for a brief period during one of the 'hotter' scenes. I think this version would go very well with Let Me In, because she (the vampire,) is trying to push away the one who knows there is something very dark about her, yet loves her.

I really prefer the original version, is much more haunting than this one, which gives the apropriate sound to the song. This version kinda drives in a different direction that has not much to do with the real song. But Damned and Divine is generally beautiful, one of the best songs from MWS so, I don't dislike this version, I just prefer the original.

The problem is that this is about as "Vampire & Gothic" as Twilight is. It's more Tarja trying to be something she's not/doesn't really understand. I'd rather she stuck to classical, since I think that's the style she prefers.

Might I suggest that we NOT merge Twilight with Tarja? There are better examples of vampires to associate this song with and Tarja's namesake need not be tainted by the blasphemy that is Twilight (I can't even associate this song with Twilight even if I wanted to),

Anyway, I never bothered to listen to this version, as I thought it was just a fusion of "Sunset" and "Damned & Divine", but me likez. Too bad that this song wasn't on the MWS edition that I purchased.

Very gracious, very haunting, simply magical. Tarja will shine even more. Although Nightwish tuned matched her voice perfectly and even gave it a bombastic boost, I believe that her solo energy will grow greater once the world gets over their break-up and witness her charming performance and character.
