mmm... Something is wrong in that scene. The cat seems to be tied or something, you cannot see it complete on both takes. It would have fleed or jumped all around the snake trying to get its neck. Not just stay there trying to keep the snake at bay while it misteriously keep looking and looking at the camera and not the snake...

So thats why the snake didnt bother me. Like when i was 5, i was playing in my dads yard outside near some tree. Then i turned around and there was a big ass snake (idk what kind, just a big ass snack) climbing down the tree. Scared the shit out of me. But, my dad got his shotgun and killed him.

@Razma666 You are right Raz. Bobs are certainly fearless predators one on one. They hunt and kill animals that are much larger than they are in the wild. They will stay away from people unless you get too close or they feel you are a threat to them. Their bite strength per size is the strongest of all of the cat family, and stronger than that of any domestic dog. To continue, I have studied bobcats for almost 20 years now. Breeding, hunting, territories, the myths that they can breed with domestic cats, and much more. A very simple investigation into "snake vs. bobcat" on google or youtube will net you videos of bobcats successfully killing many different species of snake. The bob's downfall and reason for most lost fights are that they are distracted easily by sounds and movements, at that point the bob is vulnerableand t other predator can strike.

I disagree. Bobcats can and have killed, and do hunt snakes, including pythons, rattlesnakes, and other snakes. Yes, occasionally they do lose, but most of the time the bobcat will win. I do not see the bobcat as the prey. I see both as predators where sometimes the snake will win but most of the time the bob is the victor. The bobcat much like the African Serval uses its strong slaps to stun the snake and then go in for the death grip with its jaws.

No they are not an invasive species. Bobcats ranges from Canada to Mexico, including the humid swamps of Florida.
